Some people have argued, « signing martial would significantly help our title challenge this season and for the foreseeable future - do what it takes! »

Man Utd will be thinking « signing martial would significantly help spurs chalenge for the title this season and for the foreseeable future - resist any reasonable offer! »

Some people live in a football manager universe where no one else is capable of reasoning. Very strange !!

My pal at the Manchester Evening News (this isn’t remotely ITK btw) has said tonight that Martial’s time at United is over.

Media (MEN and The Sun) now both reporting that Martial has left Manchester United’s training camp ahead of completing a transfer elsewhere.

He seems to only want to stay in the Premier League and is willing to force a move, but all ITK are saying that the move to us isn't happening. Surely that only leaves Chelsea?

So the baby thing was false info?

That’s true as far as I can tell, except they’re now saying he isn’t planning to return and Maureen doesn’t want him back.

Hmm, pair that with Hercs recent update, playing poker, happy on multiple fronts, maybe the Toby swap is on?

Except that Mourinho (and everyone else knows) that Utd have a weakness at CB that has to be addressed if they are to challenge - and DL has something to swap

We just need to get this done and we need to get it done yesterday. This window, still sitting on the likes of Nkoudou, Janssen and arguably Llorente & Sissoko has been nothing but a big shitshow, going back to Poch's own comments back when the season ended. Should we somehow be able to land Martial, however, it would be one a signing that might just take us to that next level, which is no little feat being where we are nowadays.

Sounds more than possible. Opens up another hole in the squad though, which the rumoured 3 incomings wouldn't fill.

If we want real fireworks though, then this would be worthy of saluting Levy:-

Martial forces a move to us.

Toby decides to stay and sign his original contract offer.

Levy gets a top prospect from Utd and avoids selling them a top player.

Utd have to scramble for a CB and Martial replacement giving us a clearer run at a mutual CM target.

(Optimistic ratings are positive, right?)

His wife's pregnancy is a smokescreen IMO.
#WelcomeMartial
Or he couldve planned the pregnancy and birth to align with the pre season tour, knowing he could sneak away from manure and sign for spurs....stranger things have happened....i think
