Sorry guy's, started the thread and was rushed out by the wife.

What I meant was his attitude/body language is telling me something behind the scenes is going on with Harry/the club/the team. He seems to have a very selfish game in the last couple of games and it seems he's not sticking to Harry's game plan (if there is one). We can all interpret body language differently but that's just how I see it.

(and before anyone starts calling for me to back up my claims, lets just say observing and teaching others to read body language is part of what I do for a living)

If he wasn't interested why would he chase around all game trying to win the ball? I'm not a body language expert but I'd say that if someone didn't care they'd not chase the ball at all.

In fact his body language surely suggests he's one of the few who actually gives a shit. Yes he doesn't stick to a 'game plan' but that's always been the player he is.

I'm a dumb fool but are you sure you weren't basing this all on his famously rebellious right nostril?

Rafa played with frustration, he played with anger rather than passion IMO

My post is based on observation and opinion which we all have a right to no

I don't think I was questioning your right to an opinion Doctor.

I would argue though that from a television you'd find it hard to say why someone was chasing a ball down when others weren't.

I'd also say that if he's chasing down the ball does it matter whether it's because of anger, passion or lust?

I am a big Rafa fan but he showed absolutely no respect to the manager...........he just seemed to walk off the pitch and down the tunnel without giving the management any signals that he couldn't carry on after we had made our 3 subs.

Anyone see this up close?
Is this what really happened?

I also noticed today that when Lennon came off injured...........he walked past the manager and never once looked at him.

Maybe the manager doesn't deserve their respect? Perhaps VDV has realised that there is a reason Jose Mourinho bothers to go over tactics the week before a game? Perhaps Modric wants to go and play for a side that is well prepared for their next opponents?

Even against United VDV was chasing and closing when Defoe should have been. Also his shoot on sight policy is fine by me, if nothings on have a go he is a quality enough player to work the keeper and get the crowd going or score.

VDV has been our best player in pre-season and this season, he also looks considerably fitter than last year. I feel for him I really do.

Let's be blunt, players like Lennon, Crouch and Huddlestone have no football intelligence. I don't play to any level really, never have, but I think it takes no fool to see that these players are very regimented in what they do and lack the ability to read a game or think ahead. I don't blame them I blame the shoddy training youngsters get in England. A grassroots system that pushes physical pace and strength ahead of mental toughness, innovation and creativity.

Yeah my post did seem a bit defensive, sorry I guess the emotions from the game had us all messed up.

It does matter if he plays with anger or passion. Not just in sport but in life in general if you do things in anger there is little to no control and when you lose control you lose focus/direction and maybe thats where the game plan goes out the window. I would say to watch the game again but I wouldn't wish that on any fellow fan lol but from the start he wasn't himself. It could have been because he was carring a slight injury and Harry had no choice but to chance him with it (I think thats mentioned somewhere)

You know sweet fa, what r u on about!!!

Well I don't seem to remember you in lectures, oh.... maybe you were the idiot who kept falling asleep at the back but stayed awake long enough to get to know me.
I didn't/don't claim to know sweet FA but was simply giving my opinion an a game that angered us all
