Not sure many of you know just how devoted he is to Tottenham. I remember having a drink with him in The Plough, Cuffley. I asked him about his plans after he left Spurs - would he go back and play in Scotland. I remember so clearly - he just put down his drink and said with absolute gravity ... "Och, I could never play for another club than Tottenham". Lovely man, great player. I seem to recall he had many offers to play with other clubs but (I think) chose to end his playing days in South Africa.
