If Arsenal are prioritising shipping him out before the likes of Holding, Luiz, Kolasinic and Sokratis then it’s a obvious sign that we should stay well clear.

That doesn't make any sense for us then
Well we do need a back up for Hoejbjerg. Lots of Arsenal fans seem to think its his best position.

I don't know how accurate any of that is, especially as Arsenal fans tend to blow up their young players all the time.

He's nothing like Hojbjerg.

He’s spent the majority of the season playing RB yet he’s unhappy with this because he doesn’t like playing there. I’ve no idea what else he’s supposed to be good at? This would be a very strange signing and what looks like a waste of our tight budget.

Where does it say they are doing that?
“If” being the key word. Going by the latest media report that they’re willing to sell him to spend, by giving the likes of Luiz a new contract after a horrific few games and a lack of ‘credible’ rumours of them trying to sell their other defenders, it would be a reasonable assumption at the moment. However, we’re in for a long window so anything could happen.

Arsemania see's their posters suggest he's worth 30+ o_O

Can't say I've watched much of him. Over there they reckon he's rapid, took care of Zaha and Traore, and Liverpool's attacks well, and is better than Bellerin.

Oh, and one poster suggests Every premier league club will be in for him.

I get we don’t like to admit he’s a decent player because he plays for the gooners, but he is a tidy player with a great engine who’s looked really solid at RWB/RB. The fact he did well either in a back 5 or back 4, as well as CM/RW shows how useful he is as a squad player. He actually reminds me of Ben Davies in terms of being a solid, if unspectacular contributor (different play style obvs), and I’d take that on the right side in a heartbeat after the last few years at RB with Serge and Trips!

Also, RB is pretty locked up at Arsenal atm with Bellerin and Willian is their new utility attacker, plus they seem to be working on three mega deals in Gabriel, Partey and Aouar. It makes sense why Maitland-Niles would be the odd one out, even if he’s a good player. Can see him playing way better for us than them.

When was the last time a player transferred for money between the two clubs?

There's just no way this happens.

Ah OK, it's your interpretation on it. I thought it was actually something in a story or something. Thanks.

Another possible scapegoat signing. Fuck me, if we sign them all some of you really will be burning the midnight oil after games.

Actually, it might work positively, there would be so many scapegoats that it gets diluted a bit because those with the penchant for doing it simply haven't got the time to cover it all.

Strange link and not sure why Arsenal would sell to us.

I think he would be a great squad addition, we don't have many "utility" players in our squad, not going to be a nailed on starter but greatly improves our options from the bench and good cover for injuries.

Where would Liverpool be without Milner or Oxlaide-Chamberlain? The amount of games they have covered at full back, cm, even in the front 3 allows them to not have to change their tactics dramatically due to injuries, which we have been guilty off for a few seasons.

Like I said though, doubt Arsenal would sell to us.

Cant see it myself. Obviously might be more to it why he wants to leave Arsenal and they seem to be happy to let him go. But given the fact they are happy to let him go kind of leave's me feeling if he isn't good enough for Arsenal then he really isn't good enough for us.

OR... he's the only player of value that they feel that they can sell in the current climate.
