Going to be discussing if staying in Tottenham whether Spurs may open their own school.

Shame Dianne Abbot is on it...

Can't take her seriously anymore, silly silverspoon fed twat.

On the matter of a Tottenham Hotspur school, I think it is a grand idea

A little concerned that we seem to be getting into bed with a company that is only involved to make a profit from it... :-(

Make more social sense to offer facilities to an existing college than go down the 'free school' route which can be socially or religiously divisive unless handled sensitively which rules out Mr.Gove.
He apparently thinks that anyone who doesn't think the sun shines out of Cameron's arse is a 'Trot'
Haven't heard that political kind of Dinosaur talk for years.

I used to work for her a couple of years ago, she wasn't actually better than I expected.

Not heard "New" Labour bang on about Tory Eton toffs then?
Yes but that's a matter of fact.
How many millionaires in a cabinet does it take to reduce disability and housing benefits?.
17 at the last count.
And 'New Labour' is so the year before last.

I had the free school for Spurs idea back when the government announced them. It's the next clear step towards the Barca model. Better educate players will be less easily influenced by flashy agents out for themselves and it will also be a funnel for football money into the larger community which is never a bad thing.

It will also improve contact time with the youth team as facilities and coaching would be on site. Players would reach the ideal of 10,000 hours younger.

Did She really say that? If she did she is a complete joke of a woman who needs to get the boot. If i was David Lammy i would tear into her so bad she will flee the country the filthy cow, i hate her guts and wouldn't feel two ways about smashing an extra large egg on her evil scumbag face.

Sorry for rant, i just detest this womans very existence.

A Spurs school would rule! But wouldn't be better closer to the new training ground?

Harsh, she's a bit of an idiot but I'd personally reserve those sentiments for Margaret Thatcher.

She's an absolute cnut, i'd be tempted to say 'typical labour politician' only she isn't, she's even worse!

That's patently not correct. You can level lots of criticisms at her, many rightfully so, but she also did a hell of a lot for the country.

Of course she should be criticised, but that's clearly way too harsh

Up north, many would think that what she should suffer for what she did to them.

The main problem, with Thatcher is she turned the UK a neo-liberal country, the same thing which causes a irresponsible market economy, and caused the government to work for the economy and not the other way round. While this has caused a degree of wealth, it has also polerised society, been a good cause of many indirect social ills, and percived social ills, and is a system which is not sustainable, as we will find out in 20 years time if we do not get our act together.

Ignoring this, which after all was a response to the growing trend of Friedman economics over much else, she treated the lives of humans as a side thought, she ruined peoples lives and did not try and help them ease into a changing society, for all purposes she abandoned them, she supported the nasty dictatorship of Pinochet, yet again putting capital ahead of lives and principle, and went into a war for seemingly no other reason but a poll boost.

Anyway this is totally irrelevent to Thatcher as a person, who frankly I could not care less about, the same should go with Diane Abbott, as always the case in all these discussions, play the ball not the player.

Only just read this thread, havent seen the programme but interesting stuff if we are considering opening a school. I suggested this ages ago as part of learning from other clubs and improving our youth set-up.
