For me, it was far worse. Mainly because at Wembley I was in the lower West stand so could get out quickly, whereas at NWHL I'm in the upper South Stand, so took ages to get out of the stand, let alone the ground and then to Seven Sisters.

And also there's no trek to Wembley Park like there is to Seven Sisters, so that just adds to the annoyance.

The Queue for seven Sisters was moving ok until I got to the front just as the palace fans were being escorted to the station on the other side of the road by the police and 25 minutes later I was still at the front of the Queue!!

Ah that would explain the prolonged wait at one point whilst some sort of horse show was being displayed on the other side of the street.

Eastern European? Dortmund, who we've attempted to emulate with the wall are hardly eastern European!

It's more the hostile, intimidating atmosphere that they produce at places like Red Star or was it besiktas who literally made Timo Werner walk off because of the noise? Maybe it's because there isnt a culture of 'ultras' in this country.

On a side note, is there going to be some development with the lighting etc on the veil and the roof? Seems weird that it's only really purple that is seen in a lot of the promo shots etc. For the roof to be lit in Blue/White/Yellow would have been great

Watched the opening ceremony on youtube and the full match online as I'm from Scotland. Its the first full game I've actually watched in a long long time. Don't know if it was something to do with not really having a home since whl was demolished, or just work and life taking over maybe has played its part. Regardless last night was brilliant, the stadium really looks fantastic and I can't wait to get down and see it for myself

I stayed behind after until closing and found getting away easy enough.

Regarding the stadium, it’s very impressive, love that we are back home on our patch and the atmosphere on the concourses was great. It’s still a little weird for me though, the singers/bands dotted around singing pop music etc, I can see why some might enjoy that, but it’s not really football for me.

When it gets going it’s loud in there. The kop is class.

I think the boys did well to block it all out and remember there was a game on. Professional performance.

Overall I’m very impressed, but it’ll take a bit of getting used to! All a bit surreal

He never said Dormund were Eastern European. He never even mentioned Dortmund.
Had you managed to comprehend the conversation, you would have been spared the time it took you to neg rep my post and type your reply.

He said it's hard to replicate Eastern European fanaticism in response to suggestions that we need an organised section of the ground that gets songs going in the Park Lane end.

I mentioned Dortmund, as an example of a set of fans with such a sector, that aren't eastern European.

Now repeat that back to me. I want to make sure you understand.

Another quick moan. Loads of people smoking in the toilets. They are brand new and really nice yet people were smoking in them and generally treating them badly. I'm going to report the smoking to the club in the toilets I saw it taking place.

Sad fuckers - needing a smoke so bad

They have been shown in different colours, so it will be interesting to see what they go with each time in the future. The purple/blue could have just been what they chose to go with yesterday or maybe what they primarily go with. Can't be sure!

Seven sisters was terrible last night. I was very worried for missing my last train from vauxhall at 12.13. I was ok in the end but city will be 8pm kickoff. I hear people going to tottenham hale but surely it is worse there being on the same line and closer to the stadium? Makes me wonder why i have been walking 30mins instead on just 20mins if so.
Anybody stay until the end and use tottenham hale? How long did it roughly take in total to walk and board a train? Seven sisters took me just over an hour!

I am worried that this will simply encourage people to leave early which would be terrible.

One small gripe. Those front two rows of empty seats behind each goal look really shit on TV. Can't believe that something cleverer couldn't have been incorporated into the design.

Hardly something that’s going to be needed going forward. Less and less people are smoking, eventually no one will be stupid enough to do it anymore.

Or drink alcohol, or eat fast food, or go skiing, or drive, or anything they enjoy that might be hazardous to their health.

Lot of people don't know the way to Tottenham Hale Stn , heard it was always easier than SS when OWHL was open, my guess it would be less busy tha SS, I think the away fans are escorted to SS so that puts another 2000 odd trying to get in.
