One small gripe. Those front two rows of empty seats behind each goal look really shit on TV. Can't believe that something cleverer couldn't have been incorporated into the design.

Just checked out the highlights, odd thing is at the north end in the away section they were using the front two rows so its not a sightline thing , there must be another explanation.

It's all very surreal to me, I keep watching the highlights over again and still can't believe I'm watching us finally playing at our new home

Lot of people don't know the way to Tottenham Hale Stn , heard it was always easier than SS when OWHL was open, my guess it would be less busy tha SS, I think the away fans are escorted to SS so that puts another 2000 odd trying to get in.
I'd always go to Tottenham Hale, it's hardly a quest to Mordor.

I probably wouldn't trek through all the back streets straight from the ground but cut through after the Bee Hive and it's pretty easy

Apparently it is the sightlines when grass pitch in, and those seats can be used for concerts or NFL. Bizarre.

RE: overcrowding and queues, are the premium hospitality areas open yet? Haven't seen any pics or commentary about them, so I'm thinking no? If so, that's several thousand people who are in the GA areas now who won't be next season.

The comments were so Guardian it did my nut. Pious bullshit from people who have never been to WHL with gems like "The new stadium is the size of 23 Victorian terrace houses" but I had to share this...

"A last word from an Arsenal fan…

Back around the turn of the millennium, a Tottenham-supporting cousin of mine was diagnosed with a serious brain tumour and I arranged to take him to the north London derby at Highbury, with the added bonus of securing access to the players' lounge for some post-match entertainment.

After enjoying a cuppa (and ogling at Marc Overmaar's girlfriend), I popped out for a leak and bumped into Sol Campbell in the corridor outside. I asked him if he wouldn't mind coming in just to say hello to my cousin, which he did. But much as my cuz enjoyed meeting his idol, what really got him was that the majority of the lounge burst into applause when Campbell entered the room – he had played Anelka off the park that day – and it (ever so slightly) tempered my cousin's disdain for all things Arse for the remaining years of his life.

Of course, I always pictured him spinning in his grave if he knew that Solzeer would subsequently enjoy such a glittering career wearing the red and white, but that thought has now been replaced, in a modest fashion, by knowing that another member of our family was at White Hart Lane last night, and would have been looking around at his new surroundings and thinking of our cuz with a 'You won't believe this, mate…'
"

Fucking gooner, making me feel emotions

Some comments - of course most of all the stadium is amazing

1. Playing Can't Smile without you as our opening song isn't the best. Better to do Glory Glory

2. Sitting in the North/West upper, I couldn't hear any singing from the South stand once Sonny's goal had gone in. Hope that improves

3. Eriksen's goal was surreal, there hardly seemed to be a cheer round most of the stadium as if people thought it had been disallowed.

4. There are 4 sections of 2 rows of empty seats on the corners of the upper West and East stands in front of disabled seating. About 200 seats in all. Not sure what that's about.

5. Music is too loud and maybe they could stop it 5 mins before kick off to allow fans to sing

6. I'm glad I don't have a season ticket sitting in the corner just above the away fans - looks like a bad place to be!

All minor points.

Don't quite understand how Palace fans level with the edge of penalty area can occupy front two rows and see OK but if you go to the other side of penalty area the front two rows are unoccupied where our fans are. The sightlines must be just the same but reversed so don't quite get that.

We were in the South lower and most thought it had been disallowed. It looked like the ref had given them a free kick

I sat at the front row of the north stand for the U18 match and the view was okay sitting and would be good if standing.

Imo there’s no need not to sell those seats

I was in the north and originally thought free kick against Kane for diving.

Didn’t event notice the ball went in the net until about 20 seconds later ?

Smoking in the ground that went undetected eh? Don't tell the critical fire safety system inspectors...

Or if they think they can't sell them, why not give them to local schools to get the next generation of Yids in there.

For me, it was far worse. Mainly because at Wembley I was in the lower West stand so could get out quickly, whereas at NWHL I'm in the upper South Stand, so took ages to get out of the stand, let alone the ground and then to Seven Sisters.

And also there's no trek to Wembley Park like there is to Seven Sisters, so that just adds to the annoyance.
For me that standing around for Wembley Park is what really reaggravated my knee injury back in October. Managed to walk Seven Sisters both test events. Thinking about Tottenham Hale for City though see what that is like.
