Multiple people reporting this now. Unbelievable

I mean, wow. If that didn't sum up the actual value our club has for us as fans in one post, then I don't know what else would. Surprised the refund wasn't in club shop gift vouchers as well.

I've always said, ENIC aren't the problem, they've been pretty damn good for this club and in many aspects, so has Levy.

I don't want them out because we'll be unlikely to find better owners, what I want is for Levy to step the fuck away from the footballing side.
Hire someone who knows what they are doing, give them a budget and just leave them the fuck alone.

If Munn and the new DoF are those people, then good stuff but I just don't trust Levy to give them enough control.
He'll try but he just cannot seem to help himself
All fair points, but Levy consistently doesn't step away from the footballing side.

I'm just not sure it's in his nature to hire the right people then step back and let them do their jobs.

Do we think Poch gonna be at Stamford Bridge tomorrow.

Levy needs to get JN on an easyJet flight asap.

It seems completely normal for the system to remove the points. They should communicate this to the fans first though.

They probably thought, who the fuck is going to want to buy tickets today, we’re probably safe from having to announce anything about loyalty points. That or they didn’t know it would happen.

For people to think it was maliciously done is just bollocks though, sorry. Be as outraged as you want but you have to occasionally step back and have proper look at these things.

Agree. It was clear it was just a system issue.

The comms/PR team probably made the decision to go out with refund news as soon as possible before the mechanics were worked out.

The points issue should definitely been communicated but the way the fan base are now there would be outrage whatever is said so they probably just thought fuck it we’ll deal with it later.

I've got it!! A way that we can finally get Levy out once and for all. It's a 9 point plan but if we really want to force this money grabbing fraudster out of our club it's something we simply have to do. We all know that Levy only cares about the money so we have to hit him in the pocket as it's the only way things will change. I think any fan that's really wants Levy out should follow this plan.

1. Do not renew your season tickets. There are over 20,000 season tickets and if you give Levy all this money before the season has even kicked off then you don't have any power to withhold money from the club for the rest of the season.

2. Do not buy tickets or go to matches. An empty stadium will humiliate Levy and the club will miss out on all the match day revenue.

3. With no fans in the stadium commercial partners will withdraw as there won't be any fans to see the adverts, costing the club extra revenue.

4. Don't purchase any club merchandise so Levy doesn't get any money from that either.

5. It's one thing to take revenue away from Levy, and reducing the money the club makes is one thing, but we can compound Levy's misery further by not only reducing the money the club makes but by also increasing the money our rivals make.

6. We should buy as much merchandise from rival clubs as possible. Buy home and away kits, Training wear, pajamas. Why not get your whole bedroom kitted out. Thereby increasing revenue for Levy's competitors.

7. Buy tickets to other clubs games. Hell, if you really want Levy out, buy a season ticket. The increase in match revenue at other clubs when Levy's match revenue is going through the floor will really hurt him.

8. Now buying tickets to games is good, but imagine how pissed off he'll be when, his baby, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is empty and other clubs stadiums are full. So make sure you go to the games and go often.

9. Repeat points 1 to 8 for as long as it takes for Levy to get the message.

There you go. A foolproof plan to get Levy out that simply can't fail. Who's with me?

Rightly so imo. Personally I find it hard to believe this was an IT issue. I dont find it hard to believe the club did it and then someone realised how bad this would look and changed direction.
Would have been a some default logic that they didn’t catch. I work on things like this, it’s pretty common for refunds to cause other issues, especially if it’s an uncommon process.

And that's why so many of us have become so apathetic towards the club and this latest manager search.
I honestly thought that hiring Conte and Paratici was a step in the right direction but yet again, he couldn't keep himself out of the picture.
I have no faith that it'll be any different this time, which is why I want Levy out.
I don't want ENIC out though.

Honestly a curious choice.

ENIC by themselves offer nothing. Levy has driven the non-football growth. Take him out, and I am not sure you even get that.

And, as I noted somewhere - even if Levy were to step down as Chairman, he is still the Managing Director of ENIC - which means, he would appoint the new chairman, and the chairman would report to Levy...

IF - and its obviously a big if - Levy allows Munn to make all of the football-related decisions, then I think that is the best we can hope for, until ENIC sell.

We are in a bit of a quandary right now, due to the timing of Munn's start, and the need to find a manager before Munn starts. But, hopefully, Levy sets a budget, and then gets out of the way on the football side. Munn can hire a staff to ensure we have proper people making player recruitment decisions.

Levy can go figure out the development plans for the hotel and areas surrounding the stadium.

As someone who's also worked with things like this, I can say with a lot of confidence that it's likely the automated procedure when making a refund that's removed the points and there likely isn't an option in their system to make a refund any other way.
IT & business systems are often very rigid and rarely take outlying eventualities like these into account when made so I assume the only way to add the loyalty points back again is to do it manually by hand for each individual ticket.
I doubt they can even do it in bulk so there are likely going to be some very busy people today.
