What Harry Redknapp would describe as a top, top player. He's long been on my wishlist for Spurs so I'd be very happy to see him here.

The best combination of versatility, talent and system match we could possibly get. He won’t be the best player at each individual position, but he can play 4 key roles in a Conte team to top standards. Excellent businesses

It’s only recently he’s been moved to LWB, really he’s a inside LWF. Tbh I’m very surprised he was even able to be moved to LWB because his work rate and application when things don’t go his way was always appalling. But really, bringing him to play anywhere down the right would be a very baffling move for me even if he is naturally right footed. Cutting in his a massive part of his skill set and underlying strength. Don’t get me wrong, I have been a fan of his for a while, even have an old Belgium shirt with his name on. But even so, I just don’t get it.

Maybe the plan would be to play Richie more right side to rotate with Kulu and Carrasco will rotate with Son.

The great thing is he's versatile so could solve a few issues in the squad.

I’m with @Ghost Hardware on this one. Good player and versatile, but still plays 95% at left wing.
Very much in agreement with you two. Wouldn’t put it past Conte to use him as a RWB, and tbh I’d love him to be used there. But questions about suitability and adapting to that role. Beyond that, a fantastic player who is an amazing forward option, and if I had to guess is how he’ll be used.

Played LWB mostly this season. Not played on the right at all so weird comment about being Emerson back up.

He's right footed. Can easily play RWF as well...and cover Kulu.

How anybody would be against this baffles me.

Quality versatile player.
Not hearing many against it. He's a quality player for sure.

My guess is he is the Son rotational option and Richarlison is Kane’s. Plus the benefit he can fill in as extra cover for Sess/Perisic. Good move if we can get it done. Lucas the Kulusevski cover. Plus Spence at a push?

Don’t get me wrong I’ll take it but as others have said it does seem a bit weird considering how stacked we are at wing back. Maybe if Lucas is off it makes more sense.

I suspect the only argument against is his nationality. The club seem to be looking at players who tick the HG box. That's why a loan for Daniel James makes sense (particularly with Conte saying he needs two more windows). Someone who might not play much / at all, but fills a squad hole.

Carrasco is a much better player than that, so if it works from a squad perspective, I'm in.
