The players, however when Poch left he had his own agenda, it was clear he couldn't take them any further, the relationship with the players turned sour as did his relationship with the board. Mou has scared the living bejeezus out of the players to the extent they cannot play their normal game.

Levy is all about long term strategies, so I don’t expect him to sack Mourinho just like that.

i’m also bored and tired of seeing us like this. But I really think our defensive options are bad. IMO only Toby and Reggie have the skills needed, and the former is currently declining which is natural due to age.
With this in mind I do think that we should benefit from Mourinho’s reputation to attract better defenders; Skriniar etc.

look how we got there though, we beat 2 championship teams ( none overly convincing) a bye against orient, and pens against the chavs.

“Pens against the chavs”.... downplay that game all you want, but I was proud of our team that night for pulling that off.

That was 2/3+ years ago ...
Your point being?
I gave JM the benefit of the doubt. The players adapted to the system quickly, which was proved by our run of form at the end of last season and the beginning of this one. However, the league adapted just as quickly, to which JM now has no answer. Or is that the players being average too.

I’ve played the game. At a high level. Like you. Clearly. I was absorbed. It was fascinating watching us try to break then Down. Only people that know the game know what was going on. Jose was a genius. It was the players fault that they didn’t complete his instructions. watching them throw their arms in the air as no one knew if they should make a run summed it up.

Levy should be the manger.

its obvious to me. I’ve played the game though.
Sorry was going to reply just realised its all in jest.

At the moment, Vini has offered nothing

Yeah, in some circumstances it is. Which was my point at the beginning, you know, differing philosophies, same players? ...

Really??
Ramos and DOF, not working let's go for old-fashioned English manager.
He wants too much transfer kitty, let's go for a young coach who totally bombed in his only previous job in England.
How about we promote from within?
Ah finally, we've found our man. Good philosophy, pressing-style, improves players, doesn't go for big money signings.
Ok we've fallen out with each other, let's find the polar opposite and hope the same players can adapt.

Agree , average . Of who played today who gets in a team in the big six ? Son ? That’s it , and his form has disappeared. I dunno .
I would say:
Hugo might get in some teams when on form
Regullion would he's class
Toby possibly but he's on the downturn
PEH would
Ndombele or Lo Celso might get close
Son would
Kane would

But yes from last night that only really leaves 2-4 at best, also our depth is not what we thought it was.

Clear weaknesses in the squad but we should be playing way better than we are, we are playing as if we are Burnley levels of squad not a squad full of internationals, there is no plan or confidence.

From Mourinho's last game at Man Utd...

Manchester United and manager Mourinho may point to the two decisive deflections on Shaqiri's goals - but they would be fooling only themselves if they believe they deserved anything from this game.

Mourinho's gameplan, predictably, was one of physical strength and containment that Liverpool were dealing with dismissively until Alisson's blunder threw them off their stride.

The Old Trafford boss added further physical power in the shape of Fellaini at half-time but it was still Liverpool, albeit nowhere near as impressively as in the first period, who were positive and pushing, while United were passive.

Pogba was not even used and Anthony Martial arrived when it was too late - while Klopp brought on the maverick game-changer Shaqiri to make the difference.

The contrast was almost symbolic, demonstrating just how quickly United are heading in the opposite direction to this vibrant Liverpool side.

It’s the players but it seems to be any players managed by him. Not just Spurs ones.
