But is it actually written into UK law or just in the conditions of sale by the issuing club or association , it was only recently that Spurs sanctioned the selling of match tickets at inflated prices on Stubhub.
UK law - primarily Section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994. The offence is for an unauthorised person to re-sell their football ticket - StubHub were authorised by the club at the time so that's okay, but a common tout or people listing on StubHub now is not.
