I just don't see how you get 6 players behind Kane all enough playing time to keep them happy. Especially if as the ITK have mentioned that Poch wants to play 3atb more often.
Our forward play is becoming predictable, because of the players we have. We need a variety of options per match. And I know Poch feels that also.

I'm not disagreeing with you but why doesn't he change it up ever then? We line up Son, Dele and Eriksen every game. If he doesn't like Lamela then we should sell him and bring a replacement, and I understand that he wants Lucas to have a full off season but with his performances thus far why not give him more of a chance?

Was this the guy we was linked with late in the last summer window?

I get what you mean, if you put us like for like with City... we lack both creativity and the unpredictability factor, it also makes us easier to defend against.

Dier - Defensive and slow
Dembele - strong but slow and zero end product
Alli - not particularly quick and seems to score most of his goals in the box
Eriksen - our creative hub but again, lacks pace and also strength
Son - the epitome of hot and cold
Kane - a great finisher but also one paced

Other than Son none of them offer pace. Whereas our 2 central midfielder offer nothing creativity wise.

Whereas with City:

Fernandinho - defensive shield
D Silva - creative, excellent movement
De Bruyne - strong, free kick specialist and a hell of a shot on him
Sane - pace, trickery and can finish
Sterling - pace and has contributed both goals and assists this season
De Jesus - pace and trickery

5 offensive players whom are all lethal. Don’t get me wrong ours are very good but as an unit they’re one dimensional.

@TEESSIDE1 to me the biggest one that sticks out is the second creative midfielder, I truly think that is our biggest position to fill as an upgrade over Dembele, we have the same amount of fast wingers they have. Son may have hit some bad form but he was absolutely fantastic in the champions league and has been a huge factor for us for 2 seasons now. To me Dembele is what brings us a notch below this group. I believe Sane and Son are similar enough players, Eriksen and Dele (on his day) are fantastic and Kane is the best forward out of the group.

This is also of course without Lucas mentioned in that group.

Good player. Not sure who he would replace in the squad though? It would be a shame if it was Lamela.

I firmly believe with a CM who could dictate tempo and play the same way as Eriksen it lifts the level of all these players we are discussing. We only play one pass first player in our whole team right now.

It says on Wikipedia that he can play on both wings or at right back. Has anyone seen him play at RB?

Personally feel that the issue we have compared to city and liverpool is the speed we move the ball. We need to find a way where when we have the ball and they are sitting deep we have Harry and Eriksen with the current play we have now but on the break we basically need a liverpool attacking style with Kane coming in late whilst we have people like Son, Lucas and Martins breaking fast.

Reminds me of mane. If we had him one side and moura the other thwy could be as deadly as salah and mane. Son backing kane up, dele backing eriksen. Job done

If that’s the case, why has Moura been largely ignored?

I love Poch as much as the next Spurs fan, but he is very conservative and predictable with his subs during the game.

I personally think he is overly pedantic-weakness

Perhaps poch's thinking here is to replace Sissoko with a player like martins or zaha.

To me it means Eriksen will have to play deeper more often.

That plus a Dembele replacement, someone more creative, and we will have a very dangerous squad.
