I particularly like this bit:

Yet Kroenke, who owns 67%, after gradually building up his holding since 2007, is unwilling to contemplate the deal. He remains fully committed to the club and, even though Usmanov’s offer would net him a massive profit, he is not minded to sell. Kroenke has long maintained his investment is on behalf of his family for the long term and he sees it as being for generations.

Hopefully thats Usmanovs last throw of the dice, and he'll fuck off and sell his shares to some hedge fund.

Loving this little on and off field meltdown.

Couldn't happen to a nicer outfit and long may it fester and continue.

In all seriousness, as others have said it would be very, very bad news if he was to buy Kronke out.

You do wonder if that's the way its all going to end up - a load of bent oligarchs running the big clubs and waving their cocks at each other competing in a rat race for the best managers and players.
When our stadium is finished, and most of the hard work done by Danny Boy and Enic would not be surprised to see us as the subject of a big bid as the club will be worth at least £1bn+ then

While money is important, I think we and others have shown just splashing the cash doesn't equal success.

Would like Levy to stay on as chairman if we are taken over or someone buys JL out.

Chelsea are probably going to do the double, and United, who spent many millions in the Summer, are also on for two trophies.

Yes we've outperformed City and Arsenal, but splashing the cash still makes a big difference.

Every cloud has a silver lining for Mr Usmanov - he could well be getting plenty of away trips to Uzbekistan in his private jet next season.

I wouldn't say it's sustainable for consistent success especially nowadays where the top teams are as strong as ever. Spending more money just means higher expectations and pressure which inevitably means more manager and player upheaval.

Money is very important, no doubt about it. However, if United lose to Ajax (which I think is a bigger possibility than most people believe) then I don't think they have had a brilliant season.
