The body language experts are bad enough we don't need back of the head readers now. (y)

When they both retire perhaps they can team up and become a saloon door in an old west themed bar...

Wouldn't work. Idea is to barge through them, not have them open like something out of a fairytale.

Come on, Health and safety concerns mean no one would want to touch a wooden door. You could die from any number of splinter based ailments. :dead:

Its simply not true. Paulinho consistently won more ball in every game compare to fan favourite Mason. Paulinho is a very good player that fell victim during a period where Spurs' performance was upsetting majority of fans. Some loud idiots began to go on a witch hunt to look for scapegoats.

I think picking on one poor misjudgment while defending a freekick as the reason to condem a player's attitude tells more about the intelligence of the fans than the player in question.

You're right, my apologies. Got carried away with visions of barging through Paulinho, taking my hat off, asking for old whiskey, and toasting myself for barging through Paulinho.

Genuine fraud. As a player and his character.

Generally I love and respect everyone that pulls on the shirt and I want them all to do well, because if they're playing well then it's better for the team.

But this guy was the exception. Despised this **** as soon as he pulled that cowardly shit when defending that free kick. That act alone was a genuine disgrace to the shirt and it's insulting to the fans that he couldn't put his body on the line for the people that pay his wages. He effectively spat in our faces that day.

If thats true then why didn't he make a fresh start under Poch? He was playing under him for a season where we started to see an upturn in performances. But he was still consistently shit. And it's not just the free kick, but the other things that have been highlighted in this thread in recent days too. He showed very little capability to perform basic football skills like passing, tackling or shooting.

There must always be a Jenas. Down the years they've taken many forms right through to the modern day "sissoko" version, its just part of what makes this club special.

Show stats pls. I like Paulinho and feel he was hard done by but also feel he wasn't really playing for the team or on occasion even playing.

I'll not have that. I went to almost every home game in Poch's first season, and the difference between Paulinho and Mason could not have been greater.

Paulinho hid in games, I remember seeing him purposefully position himself so the referee would be between him and the player in possession.

Mason on the other hand was the first player to buy into Poch's philosophy, his sub appearance against Forest was what gave that squad it's boot up the arse, and he gave everything for the next two seasons.

Loved that moment. Was a real turning point for the team and the club.

But my favourite Ryan Mason moment in a Spurs shirt is at the Battle of the Bridge, when Dier absolutely clattered Hazard or Fabregas, and would have been sent off if the referee didn't play advantage. Dier was hobbling walking away from the challenge, I think Mason recognised this and took Hazard out again taking a yellow. It was a disgusting tackle. Absolutely phenomenal.

Around 6mins 30 in this video.

Would have never seen Paulinho do that.

What's even more "telling" is what you're interpreting here and then suggesting is even happening.
