the set up is all wrong. 6 defenders against Villa. Very little creativity in the side. Winks is working his ass off but thats about it.

Feel sorry for Janssen. He just doesn't possess the requisite technical ability, even against championship opposition. When he's not failing to control the ball after several touches, he stands offside so often it stops any chance of us passing forwards. He doesn't really understand the game very well at all.

We've done very well picking up some outrageous bargains over recent years, but despite the £17M spent on Janssen we're still desperate for actual cover for Kane.

Totally disagree with Shearer on VJ's positioning. He's chosen 2 examples and overlooked the 10 times he's in the box waiting for that pass that hasn't come.

It's probably unfair to judge him because it's his first game back and he's not had optimal service

But I really find it hard to see Janssen ever being a success with us

He's too slow and too immobile and his confidence is down like Soldado's was when he struggled early doors

I think the scouting was poor when selecting him because I dnt think his skill set suits our team and our tactics

I think he was an expenaive error and I suspect by the summer he wll be gone for the best for his own career and for us to get someone more suitable

Forgot to add I mentioned that it was a mistake not perhaps putting Kane on the bench as insurance... And it is becoming more prominent now I think

If we are going to liven this game up and win, there have to be subs - Janssen to go first please MoPo.
Wouldn't take him off just yet, bigger problem is the 6 defenders on the field. He hasn't been very good but there isn't enough support for him either when we are just passing it amongst Dier and the centre backs.

6 defenders, but Trippier and Davies are really playing as wide MFers.

Agree about the lack of creativity.

It's been shit and ultimately there is no pace nor intensity and no guile. I also think Poch fucked up, no need for so many defensive players.

Janssen is utter gash, I feel sorry for him but I think he would struggle in the championship let alone premier league. Soldado wasn't actually as bad as him.
Can't agree more, but didn't want to say it as some Folks are trigger happy tonnes for no reason.

going to defend Janssen a little, Kane would struggle today in this team.
nobody is running beyond him, easy to defend against us. his touch is poor but he hasn't played much recently and after being a certain starter at his previous club his mindset as a fringe player is completely different

Was that early on in the season ir lately? Just asking mate

Scored 2 and assisted 1 in December. If he does that every month of the season he would end on around 15-20 goals and a bunch of assists. He was instrumental in our win against West Ham as well but no stats for that because of a slight deflection on the cross and you get nothing for winning a pen. His form is fine.

He's played 844 minutes its no where near enough time for it to be to late for him.
889 and he has shown very little during that time.

Would love nothing more than him to be a success but apart from being as strong as an ox with a decent shot i see little else at the moment
