Very rare i get any ITK but one of my friends works with addidas and deals with alot of our lads and has been told VW is a done deal... Salt and all that though!
Think this is a good signing as it adds more weight/power to the midfield but after watching dier for England yesterday who does a great shielding job, it was noticeable his passing isnt great.
We need imo someone to unlock banked defences but still a great purchase regardless.
We do need that yes. But this isn't a signing for that role in the team, nor is Dier.
Dembele's role is the more progressive of the two deep lying midfielders, and its from here along with the three behind the striker, that those moments need to come from.
Fair points. Although I agree, he's esentially someone to back up or compete with Dier. He'll provide us with some steel against attacking sides in Europe which we desperately need if Dier ends up suspended or injured. I'd also like us to sign another central midfielder capable of pitching in with a few goals. We really lack goals from our current crop and I wouldn't be against letting go of Mason & Carroll to free up that space.
Kante will be going to a bigger club to Tottenham.I appreciate he'd cost twice as much but I'd rather trigger Kante's release clause, twice the player Wanyama is.
I prefer the term 'richer club', but yeah, wouldnt suprise me if he has already agreed to join one of Europe's elite.Kante will be going to a bigger club to Tottenham.

I know, just re-read it and deletedYes. That's what I said.
Unfortunately true.
No harm in triggering his clause and asking the question in the first week of the window though.
Although I'm sure if Poch wanted him we'd have sounded out his agent to gauge his interest and check on the kind of wages he'd want.
Anyway, we're a stronger squad with better depth if we complete this signing, so I'm happy.
