For a 19 year old I felt he started well but bar Luton, this was a first experience of men's football. I feel the experience will do him good.

He'll have more protection in the English leagues and think he'll play better at a club like Coventry City, where the team tries to play football.

I think starting at he 3rd tier of English football would be good for him.

If he's lucky enough to get a chance at a Championship club, he could have the same impact as Pritchard he could make his way intp the first team.

His preseason form with us was highly impressive.

Personally, If we are to sell Townsend we will need a player of his type to offer something different to an Eriksen or Lamela.

We lack a player with pace in the attacking third and I feel he would be a welcome addition to the first team squad.

I for one have high hopes for him.

To be fair, he didnt really play either last season in league 2. So its certainly within the realm of possibilities that its both the showbeating thing and him just not doing well.

It could be certainly, but I'm not sure there is one player who could enjoy football, enjoy going out on the park, will have confidence etc knowing that at any minute you will be poleaxed, the ref will dismiss it and the opposition manager will say its because youre from England. I dont know anyone that would 'do well'.

Well im not saying that he did get fair treatment in Scotland at all. What happened to him there is just disgusting so I agree with the recall and trying to get him elsewhere. But is the Championship really the right move for him? He spent the last year struggling to get into the team in League 2 and then not playing much for Rangers.

With him though, there is so much about him. He's got it. The way our current squad has developed I see no reason why he cant do the same. Look at Kane when he was loaned out, he practically did nothing down at championship level and now no club would get much change out of about £60m-£80m maybe more depends on who's paying. I'm not saying he'll develop into that but with the likes of Mason, Dyer, Kane, Rose, Bentaleb, Carroll, Alli and with the likes of promising players coming through like Pritchard, Winks and more notably Onomah, I see no reason why with the right coaching this boy wont develop and become a star. Imo anyway :)

Keep him, he seemed to have developed a understanding with Rose when he played in those pre season games.

In my opinion he looks like Townsend when I have seen him play.

Great on the ball, can beat a man at will, but lacks end product.

Creates panic in opposition boxes.

We don't have that at the moment.

Found out he's Arsenal through and through apparently?

Also big friends with iwobi and demarai grey?

If true he's looking st them making break throughs and probably getting frustrated

Only one of those things sounds like Townsend though?

No. Two of those things sound like Andros. (1) No end product (2)He can beat a man at will, I often see him beat members of the crowd around the head with the ball.

I saw quite a bit of him up here as I'm a season ticket holder at Hibs.

Very tricky, good pace and beats players with ease. He tended to play on the right and he was mainly used as an impact substitute for them.

The main issues as to why he wasn't starting was down mainly to his decision making being quite immature as he tended to favour the flash over the effective.

The other thing I'd say is that his work rate to do with improving.

It's a big decision now for the club to see who/where he gets loaned out to. The teams in the Scottish Championship are pretty poor and it isn't a great level. Even though Rangers are top of the league their squad really isn't of the highest quality either so I'd expect we're looking at League 2 or League 1 at best.

I would tell him to look at the likes of Kane, Alli, Dier and Bentaleb and tell him that if he is good enough he will get a chance,.

The other side of the coin are those not given a chance and those frozen out.
