Di Maria is going to be a big player for them, he is a real game changer. Madrid were fucking idiots to sell him.

I actually think he was Madrid's best player overall
One word Modric

He was their best players all season

I disagree mate, they were idiots to not get Falcao. Di Maria is a big game player and they will miss him in those games but he was inconsistent but its interesting how in the second half of the season he turned his career.

However at the world cup he didnt look the same player as the one turning out for Real, also he in the PL he will have to toughen up.

I think he has the potential to be one of the best player in the league however alot depends on how he and Man Utd play.....

Which leads me to LVG

LVG at the big clubs tend to split the dressing room and added a new dynamic by possibly replacing these stars with the kids. At United a little of that may happen, one of their major issues has been the way they are playing. I can see them having a choice between dropping rooney and Falcao, that could be the catalyst for a split in the dressing room. There are the spanish speaker and the old guard

I'm so glad we didn't get Van Gaal, what a fucking clown! Yeah, he probably still is a brilliant manager but he just can't keep his fucking mouth shut.

So Jones is out for a month. It's truly bizarre how they failed to significantly strengthen the centre back role. Rojo is decent but they need a real leader at the back. Evans, Smalling, Jones and Rojo really does not fill me with fear. Jones is injury prone and if LVG wants to play 3 at the back he really should've picked up another CB.

He could have had Dawson & Fryers for a combined £7m. :woot:

Can't Blind play there too? And the younster who's done alright, Blacket? It does seem odd that the attacking players there are computer games standard but the defence is sunday league standard in comparision. We seem to have gone the other way and gone for defenders in the managers first window, it'll be interesting to see which works out best in the long run.

Surely even the most ardent Utd hater must admit to being a little excited to seeing Falcao and Di Maria? Looking forward to their game against QPR I must admit.

Good weekend for football although I'm not sure if thats just because I'm not at work for once, or because of the international football break.

The most expensive squad assembled in premiership history costing over £400 million with Man city at approx £350 million.

If they don't get top 4 thats a serious mismanagement of transfer funds.

From BBC Gossip: -
Manchester United will get Angel Di Maria, 26, to try to convince close friend Cristiano Ronaldo, 29, to leave Real Madrid and return to Old Trafford next summer. (Daily Express)

And Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal is also keen to add Borussia Dortmund centre-back Mats Hummels, 25, to his squad. (Daily Express)

So add another £50-70M for C. Ronaldo & £20-30M for Hummels and you'll have some seriously happy agents... and fans

So apparently United are now going to win the league this season, or that's what the media would have you believe.
Were they saying the same about us when we also beat QPR 4-0???

Harry made a funny: -

QPR had to make a 194-mile coach trip back to London after their defeat at Manchester United because they couldn't book out a train carriage - and Harry Redknapp cheekily blamed United supporters travelling back to the capital. (Daily Mail)

:ROFLMAO: that is a good bit of banter by Harry.

Was it ramos that banned ketchup? The key too moyes' failing at utd:

The QPR defender, who endured an unhappy return to Old Trafford on Sunday as his side were thrashed 4-0 by his former employers, has lifted the lid on what happened during Moyes' turbulent 10 months in charge.

In his autobiography '#2Sides', which is being serialised by The Sun, the 35-year-old centre-back revealed the players were confused by mixed messages from Moyes, frustrated by his mentality and angered by changes in routine, such as the chips being taken away.

He said: "It's not something to go to the barricades over (the chips). But all the lads were p***** off. And guess what happened after Moyes left and Ryan Giggs took over?

"Moyes has been gone about 20 minutes, we're on the bikes warming up for the first training session and one of the lads says: 'You know what? We've got to get on to Giggsy. We've got to get him to get us our f****** chips back."'

Sounds like a thoroughly gripping read.

Definitely. Can you imagine Ronaldo or Messi tucking into a plate of chips covered in ketchup, downed with a can of larger and a nice smoke afterwards. That'd be Rooney though.
