Just reading their ratings v Leicester on Redcafe and they are really not happy. The main blame is aimed at Rojo and Blind. Quite a few are saying that they never want to see Rojo in the team again, they are starting to sound like us in there, with the way a load of our fans go on about Lamela etc etc.

Someone on here disagreed with me when I said they'd ship goals like Ossie's Spurs. So far nothing I've seen of them suggests otherwise.

We have to wait until December for United-Liverpool, which is a shame as they both might do something about their defensive problem by then. If they'd met next week we could've been looking at an all-time goalscoring record.

Watching the 2 sides I'd be more confident in their ability to produce a run of wins than ours.

He's going to get sacked soon and Fergie is going to get back in.

These panic purchases of Di Maria and Falcao won't be enough to save them.

Another record broken: First time in PL-history that United have lost a game after leading by two goals.

All this record-breaking is starting to sound like a broken record.

They are so bad at the back though its scary:
Rafael has been riddled with injuries which has meant he never really pushed on like they hoped he would.
Evans is one of the most injury prone defenders in the Prem.
Jones is still a kid who is yet to find his best position. He may turn out to be a decent CB but will struggle for a while.
Smalling is just average to be honest. A good back up but thats it.
Blackett is a young lad who has unfairly been thrown in the deep end. Could become a good player but right now needs to be taken away from the limelight.
Rojo is a new guy from an average league who needs time to get to grips with the speed and strength in the Prem as he was probably Utds worst player yesterday, he was completely blown away by the pace of the game and apparently only won 2 out of 11 aerial duels! Not good!
Shaw is a good player but needs to be playing.
Valencia is a winger being played at full back.
Young is a winger being played at full back.

The thing is, does anyone look at any of those players and think 'yeah he is a real good player'. I highly doubt it.

Once he gets the back sorted they'll be fine. They'll buy in Jan.

Will be a serious outfit next season after next summer's window.

Still enjoying their clusterfuckage though.(y)

Its about to get worse

Evans, Jones and Smalling are out injured. With Van Gaal saying he is unlikely to play smelling.

Blackett is suspended. They loaned out their other CB to Burnley(Michael Keane)

So for the weekend they are likely to play

Shaw -- Rojo -- Thorpe -- Rafael

Tom Thorpe has a total of 6 first team appearances in his career. He got those at Birmingham last season before he was sent back!

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera could be out for several weeks after fracturing a rib in Saturday's 2-1 victory over West Ham.

United face Everton on Sunday and, after a two-week international break, they then face West Brom, Chelsea and Manchester City.
I think that is terrible because Di Maria isn't a deep CM so it leaves Blind and that back four horribly exposed unless he wants to play fletcher or Anderson insteado_O

I'm not about to laugh at them as i dislike these threads in general but i just wondering aloud, do you think they would've signed Falcao if Liverpool hadn't signed Balotelli or was Falcao a bargin/just one of those players you sign if they become available?

He's obviously a great player but the fans needed placating and i don't think Liverpool would have got anywhere near paying Falcao's wages.

They'll make a shitload out of merchandising and it would have boosted their share price in the states (they lost a 3rd last year I believe).

So then, 'glamourous' mid week friendlies are an option they are now exploring....given the fact most decent clubs are in some form of European competition I struggle to see who they'd get, unless they are getting opposition in from South America or Asia...

Man utd will get back into the top 4, it's not a matter of if it's a matter of when.
Once they get their shit together, game over. The top 4 is going to be nailed on each season.

Stand by this 100%.

How will it be nailed on each season? Even if us and Everton get left behind that leaves:

City, Chelsea, United, Liverpool and Arsenal who will all expect to qualify for the Champs League and who will all have the resources to spend £100m whenever needed to recruit the best players.

Every time one team misses out it will leave them unstable as the manager will be under pressure (if he survives) and that in turn opens the door for us and Everton to challenge the Top 4 in the event that one of them has a bad season like Liverpool in 2010, Chelsea in 2012 and United in 2014.

To say that the Top 4 will be nailed on each season is, frankly, a stupid statement.

And I still stand by my original riposte, with West Ham being 4th at this coming Christmas being a case in point.
