Perhaps not better than all (I said most), but has a better all-round game IMO.

As I said, we don't need him, I just want him to sign.
I think Bentaleb will improve alot under Poch(if he can control his temperament)

Lets not forget he is 19

Other than Adebayor and possibly Vertonghen, we don't have a team of egotistical players.

I reckon they'll be thrilled to have a manager with a plan who knows what he's doing. No reason why they shouldn't quickly buy into his ideas, just as the Southampton players did.

Reckon you could include Rose too.

Yep - I'm really looking forward to seeing him play in the WC, particularly against Belgium.

Oh and I agree that LB and CB are our most important transfer targets. Re creative CM, it all depends on how Poch sees Eriksen, Holtby and Siggy.

So Pochettino it is then and I'm extremely enthused about the seemingly imminent appointment.

Young, progressive manager with a clear and defined ethos coupled with excellent man management skills - what's not to like?!

Not going to be universally accepted across the Tottenham fraternity though and whilst stats can be manipulated to fit an agenda, I trust my eyes and instinct to tell me that he's not another Juande Ramos.

Looking forward to seeing Poch manage us, hope our players become as fond of him as the saints players have, really important he gets on with everyone, just hope certain egos don't mess it up.

I don't think Pochettino is a pushover, egos won't bother him...

"If training is hard, so is the coach. For all the support, as the Spanish phrase has it, Pochettino doesn't get married to anyone; players are forced to remain on their toes, assured of nothing. As a player he was good friends with Raúl Tamudo and even shared investments with him but had no qualms about taking the captaincy off him and easing him to the door.

Moisés Hurtado and Rufete were both ushered towards the door too – both were dressing-room heavyweights. Pochettino's first physical coach lasted barely weeks – despite the fact that Pochettino is his son's godfather."

Despite that, players who have played under him, and fans, seem to rate him. When things went pear shaped at Espanyol, the board were blamed, not him. Look at how many Southampton players are singing his praises in the press. Osvaldo signed for him twice, (though he is a bit cuckoo).

"Daniel Pablo Osvaldo played with Pochettino at Espanyol and joined him again at Southampton. "He makes you suffer like a dog," the forward once joked. "And at the time you hate him for it but by the Sunday you're grateful because it works."

There wasn't that much support for AVB or Sherwood from our players...

I think we're ok in midfield. Maybe even thin the numbers out, as we had Bebtaleb and Velkjovic emerging last season, and Carroll returning this summer.
An upgrade at LB.
Sort out the CB's, one in definitely.
Address the type of striker we need.
Easy.

Will he be the first coach to permanently bench Lennon I wonder.
He should but probably won't wanna rock the boat too soon

Don't get all this fear from the anti-Poch brigade. Think about it rationally for a moment and also accept that FdB and Benitez are not coming:

-He'll more than likely bring Lamela into the team- like a massive new signing.
-Our other signings have had a year to settle in
-We had no tactics under Sherwood. At least we'll have some sort of gameplan now.
-Looks like Jan is staying
-We'll probably sign a couple of defenders (Already linked to Lovren)

Now, without most of that, we finished 6th last season. So, what is all the worry about? Can you honestly see him making such a clusterfuck of the job that we finish below 6th/7th? Cos I can't. I can understand those that have the opinion that FdB/FSW are better options but that does not mean that Pochettino will send us back to mid table. Just relax, because we have no right to be demanding the Champions League spot, so let's just enjoy the nice football we're probably going to play instead.

Amazing that no Spurs coach has yet managed to turn Lennon into a consistent performer. There have been a number of false dawns, but he has always reverted to type, and even regressed in the last year. I'd say give Pochettino a chance to see what he can do with him, but Lennon's been given too many chances and always benefited from a free ride. I don't think Poch will give him that. Rather give the opportunities to a younger player who might not piss away their talent.

i hope he sells lennon tbh, not good enough

in fact sticking him & adebayor instantly on the transfer list'd be a good way for me to warm to him
