Been quite surprised and a little shocked by chadli comments this weekend and again today. Seems quite a few are fed up with him already.

So i've put together a little anonymous vote just to see how you feel after his 5 or 6 games in a spurs shirt.

I for one think it's hard to tell right now as our attack isn't very fluid

This forum is genuinely in need of some weeding out, some of the threads i've seen lately do not promote discussion or anything of the sort, they are merely people venting which I think is absurd baring in mind we havent even played with our strongest 11 even once this season yet. If you want to vent then you need to use Facebook, Twitter or some other platform, a forum is exactly that, a forum, a place for discussion. It's always worse when transfer windows are open but this is the worst i've known it to be in my time as a member here, and it actively discourages me from discussing anything as I genuinely have to question the sanity of some of the comments I see here and in other places too

edit: to be clear not directed at the OP, but just commenting on the criticism of certain players and other things like that :)

Only a few games in, but saw some glimpses in the Dynamo games that he has some great potential

Voted no idea yet, was very impressed with him the first two games but no so much yesterday. Definitely will be an asset for us once he settles and gets used to playing with everyone.

I went with I think he looks a talent but it's more 50/50 that and no idea yet. I like what I've seen, which is very little at this stage. I think some people are a bit disappointed he's not a tricky player. He's a direct, powerful winger and that's not quite so easy on the eye. Especially when we had some bloke who was really direct and powerful not too long ago. Can't remember his name, playing for some forrun side these days. The comparison is bound to be underwhelming.

We'll probably see Chadli playing on the opposite wing to Lamela and Townsend with Lennon to give us that balance. We'll need one winger on the pitch in games who is more robust defensively as the FBs push up in attack.

People always look out for a scape goat.

I like him and as long as he's in a spurs shirt he gets my support.

He looks neat and tidy to me, able to take on a man on the outside or inside when the situation is right.

And is always looking for space and for a pass.

He does not aimlessly leg it down the line and play percentage balls into the box.

We are a possession team now. We need clever players to break defences, Every team we have played so far this season has sat deep against us so we could not attack them on the break. We were pedestrian in passing through midfield and so when most people receive the ball they have a man on them almost instantly leaving 2 options beat a man or pass it back inside.

Beating the man on the outside might look all shiney and sparkly but if you are aimlessly crossing the ball into a box with 3-4 defenders and 1 striker what is the point?

Oh and BTW he has put in some beautiful left foot crosses which Lennon couldn't put in with his right foot (although that's not saying much)

Hopefully with Eriksen and/or Holtby intruduced around him, and with training and familiarising with player's movements and attributes he will become an effective LWF or ACM for us.

You reckon he's slower than Daveed?

Games changed y0. I'm talking about recently.

In a team of unproven talent in the EPL, I think we should have gone with the safer bet and signed Nani for similar money.

The thing I like about him is his build for a winger. I've noticed he's been a very effective target for diagonals. Jenkinson isn't the best FB but I thought Chadli had him on toast in the first half, where he recieved the ball from players switching play.

I hate this instant success demand that a lot of our "fans" seem to have lately. We're becoming a quality side and we've spent a lot of money so the instant gratification playstation generation start crying that we haven't won our opening games 10-0. I can only see this getting worse as we get more successful.

Too early to say.

I seem to recall some ITK on Chadli when he was bought that he was an option we had in reserve in case another signing didn't come off. That was before Madrid decided to go hell for leather on Bale so I'm of the opinion that he's a player who wouldn't be here had we known that money was coming in.

I think he's shown glimpses of promise and will be reliable enough when called upon. We've seen meteoric rises from many players before and Chadli certainly has talent, and he's still young, so who knows?

Saw him at Twente before he joined us - good player, for someone like Villa - we need better than that at Right Mid. (edit. I meant LEFT ;) )
His last ball isn't good enough.

you can tell quality pretty quickly and this guy has a respectable amount, like say squad level amount. That's generally what you get for 7 mil. Dont expect much more.
