The only thing i was surprised at was he didn't bring Dawson on to mark Zigic as he won everything in the air.

Yep thought the same thing.

At times Harry isn't proactive enough when it comes to subs and today was one of those days.

Crouch did well in terms of holding the ball up - which is his main task.

But overall, it was the attack's fault that we drew. Crouch and Defoe are too average to consistently perform. With a top striker, we would have scored 4 goals today. First touch of both crouch and defoe were terrible. Lennon frustrated as well. Had 2 markers to his right on one occasion, and still opted to cut to his right - cross obviously blocked.

Why didn't we bring on Cudo and Stipe when Gomes got hurt?
Because you can only have one keeper in goal at any one time. Mind you, still not sure we'd have kept a clean sheet with both of them on at the same time.

Well, commentators on Croatian TV said that it seems Harry didn't notice what's going on in 2nd half. I agree, it was very bad managaing. It was ideal time to switch to 451 around 60th minute, our strikers wouldn't score if we played for another 10 games anyway, so it was time to put another midfielder on. But we sow hopeful managing, like hopefully they won't score. Well, they scored.

I've noticed when Defoe plays the likes of Bale and the strike partner become well, less of an impact, As soon as we took Defoe off we looked more of a threat. The problem is our strikers but not the strikers you'd think. Defoe didn't get a shot on target today and wasted several chances to put others into a better scoring position, something we were doing before he came back.

Yeah it is. I understand your frustration but calling someone a WUM because you're having a little man-tanty? Really?

We were better first half and not so good second half. They had more pressure. Can't really argue with a point under the circs. Of course we'd all like a striker who can slot away those chances that were missed in the first half and get a cushion but currently we don't so relax. Better than going home empty handed.

A little man tanty? do you mean tantrum? or does tanty mean something else? Anyway back to plain english. We are losing ground on the top 4 and we should be winning these games, i cant understand the lilywhite tinted specs on some people who refuse to criticise or see wrong in our team. Dont get so upset because i called you a WUM, im positive you have been called worse in your short life. This is the premier league not pro evolution soccer or whatever the fuck the youth of today compare it to.

I love how everyone thinks that we will sign a striker that ensures every chance we create will be scored. Could someone name this incredible striker as I'm unaware of any in world football who would guarantee that.

Not saying that our current lot are up to scratch but statements like we should have scored 3 or 4 if our strikers were good enough are ridiculous, we didn't have 4 nailed on to score chances in that game. yes we bossed possession for a long time but the chances created weren't amazing.

We will beat Chelsea. Keep your hair on, chaps.

I hope we do but i am not confident. Feeling flat right now and i know we had a great week last week but when these types of games come around and you dominate as much as you do (especially in the first half) you have to take your chances. We are quite wasteful up front and as our defence has problems keeping a cleanm sheet this season we know that we will always need at least two goals to win a game.

defoe is looking desperate to score. Against the gooners he seemed happy to work for his team mates more and it paid off. OK he is still rusty but he needs to see if there is a better option before lining up to shoot and today there was on a couple of occasions. He also needs to hold the ball up better.

Blues grabbed a late equaliser last season against us and possibly also the season before if i am not mistaken. We HAVE to be winning these games and we certainly need to work harder to keep our leads.

2 points dropped. City three points ahead, Arsenal 6. I know we didnt lose but when you are aiming to be a regular top four finisher with aspirations for finishing top the room for error lessens greatly. +3 goal difference so far this season says a lot.

At the end of the day it just shows how you need to take your chances in this league.
Can't be too hard on Defoe because he's still coming back after injury, Crouch played well generally but doesn't ever look like he's going to score from the sort of chances he had today.
Re Gomes, at the time I though it was good because it eased a bit of pressure we were under at the time.
Look on the bright side, not that long ago we would have gone there and lost without even looking like we could win, today we are gutted that we didn't get all 3 points.
That my friends is progress

It's Kneejerk Time yay

I don't think any of the comments about the strikers are kneejerk. They're not good enough, they don't score enough and they don't do enough else to go without scoring for as long as they do.

Thank god for VDV and Bale otherwise we'd be up shit creek goal wise.

Crouch should have scored but apart from that I thought he was very good, we still need to bring in someone who can finish though.

:duh::duh::duh::duh::bang::bang::bang:

Oh sorry, I guess it's crazy to support the player with the most combined goals and assists this season (17). What was I thinking?

We'd be fucked without Crouch this season and I bet you cheer when he scores.

Ten points out of the last twelve.

I'll take that.
