well if its any consolation my source has always maintained we have never had any interest in any striker but fabiano so i dont think we have lost another target at all....

If that's true, the fact that we had no back-up plan to Fabiano is even more disappointing.

Sorry, but how do you sell players with no buyers? How do you buy players without the selling club agreeing a fee with you? Why do people have this idea that transferring a fairly important player from one club to another is a formality!

You say "(if any)" but if noises are correct, there aren't any others. So we pressed hard for Fabiano. "Let themselves be strung along" something that you have zero knowledge of. That's just a massive assumption.

As for what may happen tomorrow, we'll soon see.

And no, impspur, it's not "spot on" at all. Not even close.

Look...in my opinion it is.....i dont claim to be right but am allowed an opinion arnt I...as i keep asking, its a discussion board isnt it and we all thoguht the same then it would be a pretty boring place!

I like the fact that Huntelaar's webpage loads to 110%. I do not like the fact that another possible striker has seemingly gone by without us signing him.

I personally think the 50% tax has really put people off coming to England this season, the transfer market has been unusually quiet and City are the only team really able to compensate for such a huge tax on wages.
Yeah, blame David Cameron. Let's lynch him!

Seriously, you're probably right. Sometimes £2-4m/yr just isn't enough.

Arsebiscuits. So, that's Suarez, Fabiano and KJH all gorn.

Gomez still not signed with Pool is an outside bet. Or that Colombian fella. They'll sign for Pool and Brum respectively no doubt. Still, it's passed the time this last week.

It's 7% difference. It's overblown as a factor. On a 50K a week deal, that's £3500.

listen we have 4 strikers.....

we want a better one that we can afford....how many fit the bill???

imo fabiano yes, huntelaar no....who else is out there that is a next level striker we can afford??

they have to be proven to be better than keane, defoe, pav & crouchy??

its not a case of back up plans...wew arent desperate we just want to improve..

What exactly is your opinion?

Oh completely, it's definitely a discussion board. But when one poster (me) generally counters another poster's opinion (yours) with a post and then gets no response except a "well I'm allowed an opinion", that's usually a tacit admission that the other poster (you) doesn't have much to back up the original opinion in the first place. And then it tends to be a bit silly to carry on asserting said opinion (as you have done today), when it's already been shown to be erroneous at a pretty basic level.

Are they better? I dont know....
Are they more experienced?...I dont know...
Would they want to play for us? I dont know...

But you sure have got it all figured out, dont you?

are they better/.....subjective but Raul is proven at the top level, which of our 4 can have that claim?
Are they more experienced?...see above point
Would they wanna play for us?....i dont know but I wouldhave asked the question.

As for having it figured out ...not at all, just making an observation thats all, its a message board isnt it....seems like any kind off conjecture on here is frowned upon...not once have I made any personal slights on anyone but your the second person to have a sly dig...dont get it

I'm not really looking for an argument, but when we're looking at players, if their reported wage demands are anything close to being correct, it suggests that a few thousand a week would make a huge difference.

I agree that Raul is proven at the top level...but is he anymore? Would he have the pace to be a top striker in EPL? I dont know.

Are you sure Levy and Arry havent asked?

Just making a discussion. No malice:)
