Is he on a 4+2 type contract that we seemed to be fond of a few years ago?

Or will he be gone on a free this time next year?

That says it runs until 2014, while he is quoted as saying it runs until 2015. I expect it has the year extension option for the club like many others.

Never heard of a 4 + 2 as the OP mentions. Always a year option from what I recall.

I expect we will give him until Xmas to prove fitness then offer him a big extension and pay rise. Should be one of the first names on the team sheet when fit.

I would imagine we will see how fit he can stay. Kaboul really only ever had one good season for us. Lets see how the injury has affected him.

I think when people think about Walker & Smith they need to remember how good Kaboul was at that age. We were happy to sell and annoyed to take him back.
