Costa Rica showed us how we should play the highline today...outstanding tatics.

Great example of how a team should play. Great management and tactics as far as I can see. Players all so passionate too. Might be the tactics but one of their centre backs impressed me in both games, can't remember his name to be honest...will watch him harness our swan song.

Interesingly (at least for Norwegians) is that 9 of the players in the Costa Rican squad have played in Eliteserien (the Norwegian top league). Maybe that's the way to go for the English players as well :D

That is quite funny. The Norwegian league rife with Costa Ricans!

Is Paulo Wanchope still available? Id have him on a free

Muhamed Besic was excellent again last night, despite Bosnia losing.

Quick, strong & aggressive when trying to win the ball back; composed, skillful & aware when in possession. His passing was also impressive, often picking the best option, even from range.

Besic is definitely going to get a big move this summer. Been Bosnia's best player by a country mile. He must be an absolute nutjob though for Hamburg to have gotten rid so quickly. Supposedly Thorsten Fink legitimately strangled him during training, proceeding to his banishment to Hungary.

His side may have lost and we may have been linked many times already, but Son Heung-Min was very good today. Took his goal well, but it was his general performance that was impressive. Worked hard, took players on and his attacking movement was superb.

Brahimi was equally impressive for Algeria. Again, took his goal well, worked even harder, evaded his markers with his incredibly quick feet, and he kept possession well too.

I thought the young American right back Yedlin looked superb the other day. Only 20 and, seeing as he plays for Seattle Sounders, has not been exposed to the highest quality coaches yet, so I imagine that if he moves to a decent European Club he'll progress really well. Has loads of pace and energy and seems to be a good crosser to, and I doubt he'd be too expensive. I'd definitely have him as an alternative to Walker due to the similarities in style.

As a USMNT supporter, I thought Deandre came into his own during the World Cup. Jurgen played him at RW and RB but he has a big future and I hope he goes to a European club soon.

One of the discoveries already plays for us.
Interested to know who this is?

Originally thought it could be Bentaleb but wouldn't say he stood out in any match and didn't make the starting 11 for their last 16 match...

Couple of ex-players really stood out for me, thought Dos Santos looked really exciting for Mexico (such a shame he couldn't replicate it in the prem) and Dempseys energy and determination for USA was great to watch.

Dempsey has almost looked like a top class centre forward! Maybe he shouldve played up front his entire career.

Agreed on Son too, he is a dangerous player.

Cuadrado is the one I want us to go for though if I had to choose 1 (realistic option)
