You think Sanchez is ready?

I like him a lot but suspect he will make more errors next season as our number 1 CB than Toby will have in his Spurs career
You have no reasonable basis for your suspicions other than the fact you probably do not rate Sanchez. Toby did his hamstring against Real Madrid and was out for months and Sanchez in his first season with us deputized with credit keeping us a credible contenders in both the CL and the PL. Have a bit of faith

I think he will still go to arsenal surely if he agreed everything it’s unlikely he will go back on his word ! I know it happens sometime but just can’t see it!

Is he going back on his word though? The contract at the time arsenal offered it was acceptable, but now a new offer (possibly better) has come in he has to take that into consideration. This is the next 5 years of his life and his career we are talking about.

Why would he choose to go to arse if we're interested. They're a mess in more ways than one. The whole mood around that club is toxic.

They only have shot at CL next year because of utds incompetence and Chelseas hazard sale, transfer ban and the fact that lamps is an unknown quantity at this level.

I'm not sure all this hyperbolic language is really necessary. He has been a valuable asset since he arrived and is still only 23. He could be a CB for us for another decade but you're making it sound like he has flopped and this season is make or break!

Personally I'm more than happy with his contribution and I think we have a rotation policy around defenders so largely it's irrelevant claiming if anyone is "first 11" anyway.
If we have then it really needs to stop. The one area of a team you just don't change unless there are injuries or suspensions is the GK/CB axis. Along with the persistent use of a diamond in midfield it was Poch's contribution to last season's poor defensive record.

I believe they will also have Leicester and probably Everton to contend with as well

If you are going to respond to a post read it properly

I say I rate Sanchez above

My forecast is based on having watched pretty much every game he has played for us and the fact that Toby barely makes any errors

Great long term potential but prone to at least one lapse a game in a large portion of those games. that’s factual rather than opinion

He's not as good as toby (yet). But we aint getting anyone anytime soon that is. So we support him. Concentrate on the positives not the negatives.

The only way Sanchez improves is to play regular games week in week out, and when he’s played week in week out he’s looked good

I think Sanchez jan is the no 1 partnership next season regardless if Toby goes or not

I agree, Sanchez is not ready to be no1 CB. He's a bit too clumsy at the moment but in time he will be amazing, sure of it
Time doesn't magically iron out the flaws, it's games that do, if we don't use him as our regular CB then he won't improve, hence his regression last year after doing well playing the majority the season before.

not sure where there misunderstanding has come from, but I specifically said No1 CB. I'm all for Sanchez starting. Of course, like you said, that's the only way he can improve.

Boys and girls- we’re potentially on the verge of fucking Arsenal in the heart and some of you are bickering about centre backs.

You’re walking past the pure MDMA and heading straight for the cat piss laced Special Brew

Ally Gold and Bouhafsi reporting this is as good as you could possibly want outside of the club posting it on the OS.

Edit: meaning that the bid has happened.
