I went to the Brighton vs Leeds game yesterday and Dan James was, as usual, total and utter garbage. He is barely a Premier League player let alone one that we would go for.

I want Zaha because I think itd be totally realistic to start Son - Kulu - Kane in a PL match then Zaha - Richarlison up top in a 2 or add Lucas with them for a UCL or Cup match without seeing a huge dip.

People might say Zaha won't come here to sit on the bench but if you are Zaha then don't you think he'd back himself to win a spot. And, to those outside the club, I'm sure they look at Kulusevski as someone they can outplay to play alongside Kane and Son. Now we as fans know that Kulu has been great but I'm sure Richarlison and even Zaha or whoever else we bring in would be good enough/established enough to think thry could win that spot in the team.

It's gonna be a squad game this season with lots of matches to go around that seeing our supposed 'starting 11' might not be seen again until after the world Cup following today's game

I dont see Zaha coming but I also cant see how Dan James who isnt even in the Leeds team, can be good enough for our squad. Id rather keep Gil and have him develop further within our set up. I dont see James as an improvement, but definitely Zaha.

I think very few players would take the spot off Son, Kane and Kulu. Kulu has been superb and having a player who actually plays with his head up has seen us improve massively.

I wanted Richarlison because I think he's a high quality player who will get regular game time. If Kane, Son or Kulu are not fully fit, out of form or we have a match build up then Richarlison can start without us playing obviously weaker players. I think Zaha would be the same.

But if we had a huge match and everyone was fit, I'd fully expect Kane, Son and Kulu to start.

It's Zaha's choice if he wants to be a part of that.

Idk, hard to tell what’s truth or not but i guess I just fined this all starting to get a little desperate if we really are in for the likes of James and Traore. I’m hoping it’s just agent talk talk tho. Still think we could do with another real quality addition up top.

Cheers, that was my impression but I don't really keep up with who is reliable so thought I'd ask.

My analysis is the James link is not true as he just isn't up to the level we need. Zaha is likely someone we are keeping tabs on, given his 1 year contract but no idea what Palace would sell him for or if he wants to join.

I see Traore or Zaniolo as more likely.
