and i don't think we can get cl for next seasonI don't think it will be us unfortunately.
Way beyond our financials.
To be fair, isn't everything beyond our financials after this summer?
They can sign Aurier thenBut... but... he liked Aurier’s Instagram thingy...
I'm quite glad we didn't get him in the end with all of his dipshit Instagram posts making Palace & other fans question what was going on. He probably didn't intend for it but even if that's the case I'd want someone with more brains than he does for the money being touted about
so you're saying you wouldn't want a player he would likely improve our first team and undoubtedly our squad, because he may or may not be a bit stupid or attention seeking. makes sense...
I'm saying that for £60m-£70m I wouldnt want the club to invest in someone that's a bit too stupid to be a top class player. Doing it for Palace is completely doing it for a team like Spurs. He comes with warning signs regardless of how exceptionally well he's played for Palace the past year or so

what about messi and ronaldo's tax issues? turn your nose up at them? or closer to home, aurier's idiocy/homophobic comments? dele getting head on camera?
You're comparing Messi & Ronaldo to Zaha? Come on man they've proven themselves as top, elite players. Zaha does it in a team that wins once every 5-6 games &a he was out the door as quickly as he was in it when he got his move to Man U. If Palace don't win a game and he has an off day nobody bats an eyelid. What I'm saying is I question his mentality for someone that would cost the club a genuine arm & a leg. If he was £40m I'd be ok with it but for £60m-£70m I have genuine concerns about parts of his character. You need a little something more when you're in the limelight like you would be as a footballer for a club like Spurs
You're judging his intelligence based on throwaway Instagram stories which is frankly stupid in itself. Get used to not liking any players born in the last 20 years though.
complete contradictions there imo.
subjective, but at a good team (like us), he'd be one of the best in the league I think. Also, where do you draw the line over whether someone is good enough to make a few throwaway posts on social media? What about the other examples I mentioned, that you ignored?
also, if he stopped making social media posts, would he then be worth an additional £20-30m instantly?
Not at all. I'm questioning his mentality after numerous silly posts that people linked to transfer moves awa because of his wording, along with his choice to flee Man U without knuckling down and finding a way and to top it off his decision to sign a 5 year extension today that pretty much rules him out of a genuine, realistic & financial viable move to a big club again. I think he's a wonderful talent, extremely tricky and he keeps getting no better but for a player that would have cost at least 50% more than our current record signing did, he comes with some questionable risks
prices are increasing at a ridiculous rate, percentage increase is meaningless. he went to man utd as a kid and didn't work out for one reason or another, hardly a reason to write him off! quality player and making a few posts on social media is pretty good going by today's standards. was just a very strange comment imo, that you wouldn't want a very good player because of it.
I met a girl, an ok nothing special kind of a person.
I was much better than the guy she was with and decided I wanted her.
I pursued her for months and finally got the girl.
I then remembered she wasn’t anything special and didn’t really want her that much once I had her.
Being brave could mean not following the sheep and signing players who will add no value to the team and waiting for the right player.but i thought we was going to be 'brave' being 'scared' is what will cost us in the long run
