Unfortunately it's just waffle, and Danny Murphy talks plenty of that.
really? You think its waffle that he might actually want to stay at Spurs as we try to build a title-winning team around him?

There's no fact or inside knowledge in there (like he'd spoken to Kane and Kane had told him he never wants to leave etc). Kane is ultimately no different to any other player. He may feel a bit more affinity for us than a player we bought, but If a Bigger CL club wanted to sign him and offer him triple the wages we can and he wants to go and they offer us a massive fee acceptable to us, then he'll go. And we should stop getting precious about this, it is a simple reality of football for 99.9% of football clubs globally.

I don't disagree with you but in Kane's case, do you think there will be part of him that wants to stay and probably be the captain that leads us out for our first game in the new stadium?

I'm sure he'll change his time next week when Klopp is interested in signing him.

There might be a tiny part of his heart that considers that romantic notion for a split second, then his brain will kick in (as well as his agent) and remind him how great £175k a week will be whilst playing Real Madrid and Barcelona every week in the CL in someone else's big stadium.

Part of him may want to stay but the reality of it is money beats sentiments 9 times out of 10.

I think If a Real Madrid or Bayern Munich becomes seriously interested then it becomes inevitable probably.

But what I can;t see happening is Levy selling to United or Chelsea, for example.

And given the nature of this League now coupled with our own ambitions with a new stadium etc I just don't see Levy permitting it unless we're talking about a fee which is absolutely absurd - they'd have to pay a huge premium and for that reason I don't see them meeting it no matter how much Harry wants it to happen.

Selling to a power house across the water is infinitely more palatable and Levy knows that full well.

We're closing the gap on those above us, we'd be mad to sell to a domestic rival.

I would love for him to stay and become a legend. All I can hope for is he doesn't move anywhere else in the premiership

I think players now might look at what's happening with Bale and think a lot harder about moving to one of the "Giant" Clubs.

While they can offer 200k+ euros a week in wages, they will still go. Even if you're fifth choice, earning the kind of money Madrid appear to be able to magic out of their arse takes the sting off of it a bit i would imagine.

He's right in that if we do end up selling Kane that what even is the point? He's the only player that we could conceivably still keep while at the top of his game considering the circumstances in the modern game
