I've always thought HR was a decent manager. However when i read the starting line-up vs City i couldn't believe he picked Kran and Mods to play in the middle against a very strong City 4-3-3 system! It was obvious from the start we would be completely dominated in midfield.

tl;dr

Only joking, this is causing quite a stir on twitter! I think it's great and says a lot of things that I think much better than I could possibly say them

When I said consistently I really meant over a period of games. We've certainly played well in individual games.

I know what you mean but towards the back end of last season good individual performances wern't that common either.

The line up against city was the final straw . Why was it obvious to so many and not to Harry? People will and have in the past stuck their head in the sand. "in Harry we trust" nonsense, blind trust is retarded and so is ignoring a clear problem

I'm so glad you know this for a fact.

Ok maybe not fact, but more probability that he will be gone as opposed to still being here, likely scenarios are, either he get`s the England job (god help him on that one), Time spent at her majesty`s pleasure, he resigns (blaming every-one except himself to save face) or Levy kindly shows him the door with a swift kick up the arris for undermining him.

Who would you have played instead? Fully fit players that is.

Well I personally would have shoved kaboul into the DM position. But more conventionally either Livermore or huddlestone with clear instructions of being a DM only.

Are we still harping on about this?

We had, and have, three fit CMs (or two, if you don't regard Kranjcar as one), plus Huddlestone, who's clearly struggling with an injury and has been pretty poor so far. With no Sandro, Palacios, Jenas or Pienaar we were stuffed. The only other alternatives were to try Corluka or Kaboul at CM, and you can just imagine the outcry on here if we'd tried that and it had gone tits-up, can't you?

I'm not prejudging the court case, and I'm by no means convinced that he's as nailed-on for the England job as some think.

As for Harry undermining Levy, after the Jol farce, when we had the club conducting a media and ITK hatchet job, I don't think the Dear Leader is all that squeaky clean himself.

And there's the rub. The antidote to City's formation on Sunday was Sandro and Palacios, their performance against Milan in the San Siro being one of the particular highlights of last season.

Like everyone else I shuddered when I saw our midfield set-up at the weekend, however with injuries to both Sandro and Palacios anything else against City would probably have ended up pretty much as was.

Livermore ?
I would have had more respect for him if he pushed kaboul into the DM position coz it would mean he recognised te importance of having a DM against citeh. He could also argue his case better in his ritual post match excuse giving.
The fact is it seems like instea of trying to get some decent shape and clear defensive tactics he threw in the towel and rolled the dice on "attack is the best defence"

So the next time we have an injury crisis in a certain position we should just say "fuck it we are screwed anyway" and not even bother trying to think how to solve it to give our team shape and tactics?

One of the three fit CMs, obviously.

I just love it when armchair managers bang on about 'what I would have done'. The reality is, they know fuck all. You've seen Kaboul play DM, have you? I have, for Pompey, and it wasn't pretty. If his concentration can let him down at CB (and it certainly did on Sunday), it's going to be an even bigger problem at CM.

I agree with virtually all of that. I worry about spurs long-term with Redknapp and his coaching staff (who all failed elsewhere and have been sacked or never coached in the 1st place).

More like death throws. Relegation form since February won't have escaped Levy's attention.

Neither will the fact that we've achieved our best consecutive league positions for 30 years.

Death throws are something you do with dice, I guess.
