After a lot of threads about who we'll sign etc. or dream elevens I thought it'd be good to have a thread on which of the current players you think will shine under Poch. Pick a current player and give a reason.

My pick: Lewis Holtby

Reason: Used to a high pressing game from his time in Germany, works tirelessly and selflessly for the team, so can see Poch using him a fair bit and him excelling. Could see him working in the Sean Davis role Poch used at Southampton (when he used him) as a real box to box midfielder.

Judging by reports I think it's fair to say Holtby will be kept at the expense of Siggurdsson.

Although I imagine he'll still be used in rotation with Eriksen and other midfielders.

I actually think the majority of our players will thrive under his Pochness as he seems to be able to get the best from his players, i.e. a good coach.

Kyle Walker, under Poch I can see him kicking on like we all thought would happen after that first season. Can see him having a great campaign.

Lloris.

Considering Poch's penchant for a high pressing game Lloris is going to have half of the pitch to himself much of the time.

Also Walker.

His pace will be important in getting back to cover for the inevitable foul-ups when we lose possession and the opposition player only has 50 yards to run and the GK to beat.

Hopefully a substantial number of our players can kick on. I think in particular our young players like Kane and Bentaleb will do well under his coaching.

Everyone. He's the messiah, everything will be brilliant from now and we'll have a team of superstars in no time.

OK seriously I'm hoping Lamela, Paulinho and Holtby.

Danny Rose....Don't laugh, hear me out. He has all the physical attributes he just lacks a bit in the concentration department.

He had a fairly bad season but it was tough, we were defensively bad as a team, no defender came out with much credit, but Danny, probably justly, took the brunt of the abuse. I think Poch's style will help the team defend better as a whole, and therefore help Rose to improve on his defensive duties.
If he listens and learns from Poch he could actually become very useful attacking fullback .His Physical and footballing ability are fairly decent, but I've heard some things about his attitude, but that could just be the sign of an unhappy player. He was fine at Sunderland. We shall see.

Bentaleb. Technically excellent, keeps the ball but is able to push it forward too. Plus young which Poch seems to like.

Possibly also Holtby due to Poch's preference for pressing. Wouldn't overly surprise me if Holtby was installed as our #10 and Eriksen remained wide in the JWP role (very, very good at crossing not so good at winning the ball).

Walker should thrive also.

Agreed, plus Pochettino tried to sign him on loan so he obviously rates him

this is a bit of a kop out but I think everyone will improve tbh. IMO our team, and even our squad is immense. As talented as I can remember, and there is no position where I think an upgrade is mandatory (possibly left wing but I'm hoping Lamela will be the man, Mous ain't a bad winger either), I really think we have the personnel to cover every position. We just need a team ethic, and a smart head to control the team, which I hope we have now. COYS

I'd like to think that the team will be a better team.

I think Capoue will be involved a lot more next season and dare I say it establish himself ahead of Sandro.

In terms of improvement I would like to think that all the player will shine but I am keeping my fingers crossed that Lamela is the shining light.

Capoue. will use him as a Schneiderlin but i dont really see someone of our midfield that has the passing ability to controll our game.
