One of football's worst kept secrets has finally been confirmed - Antonio Conte has been sacked by Tottenham Hotspur.

The Italian was given his marching orders on Sunday night, over a week after criticising his players' commitment having let a two-goal lead slip late on in their 3-3 draw at struggling Southampton.

Correction Not sacked but by Mutual Agreement
Maybe semantic but usually when a Manager / Coach is fired his team go with him Curious that Stellini remains

Personally I believe Conte has bigger things going on right now, and that's why he was happy to go by mutual agreement, and not concerned about Christian staying on.

He and Levy were never going to be a good match. It was said on his appointment, Levy would have to do un-Levy like things to make it work. He didn’t. Not much more to it really.

I don’t think Levy is alone in having difficulties with Conte, and vice versa of course. Personally I’m delighted Conte has gone.

As I said, not a good match. Levy likes a manager who does a good job on a shoe string budget. That’s a miracle worker. And even they will ask to furnish the house eventually…

I'm guessing Conte is planning on an extended time-out from the game. I doubt he will be working for someone else when the next season starts so it would be unfair to keep his support team idle for an undefined duration when there are other offers to keep them working/earning.

I’m delighted he’s gone, when we win it’s him and when we lose it’s them. I think the team has underperformed with him in charge.

Gives us continuity for the rest of the season and gives us time to decide on the new manager.

Good article in the athletic about conte explaining it.

Off field, can’t have helped, apparently training had become dull and Monotonous plus he was conte and it was great to start but after a while you need the arm around you

Agreed
But my point not well made was Stellini s a Conte man having worked for him before Given the circumstances it would have been normal for him to leave as well But its only an observation

Who wants to continue any of this shit-show of a season, though? No point in keeping doing the same shite that got us into this situation in the first place, IMHO.

I remember not wanting Conte as I thought he wouldn’t fit with Levy.

On taking the job I assumed his demands had mostly been met. It seems not and my initial concern was probably correct.

I was the same before Nuno, but a little more desperate after Nuno.

Our club is monumentally fucked now. It's going to be Nuno all over again and a long painful downward spiral. Nothing will improve until ENIC are gone.

Get a grip
If we hadn't had that Pen against us we would be 3rd
Still above Chelsea Liverpool Mags
Ok Cups a complete mare but Conte always been rubbish at cups

Not saying Levy / Enic should stay but get a f grip

Arrogant, dillusional fans like this are another big reason this club is going nowhere fast.
