I agree with that watford fan it's not like we saw backheel-flicking nutmegs or anything... oh wait.

Can't believe they call us dirty after that game. Fuck me.

celebrating an offside, last minute goal against a 10 man, newly promoted team like its the fucking WC Final

Jeezus - if you can't go mad at winning away from home with a late late winner then we might as well all give up. Even Gary Neville has repeatedly said that winning late on is the best way to win - and he won often!

That may be your viewpoint but lots of people are saying Kane won't leave. Full stop. That he'll finish his career at Spurs. And I think it's fanciful nonsense.

The 'to a rival' thing is another caveat that has been added that I never engaged with so again, that wasn't what I said.

And yes it's getting RAWK level embarrassing. That half a good season means we're now overturning Utd? Pure RAWK

Lots of people? You're exaggerating. A handful may have made the statement, but they're in the same league as "Falcao, goodnight" and get pretty much ignored on here.

for the most part, there are many on here who believe that Kane is being truthful when he said he'd like to finish his career with us, emulating Ryan Giggs. Look it up on google, it's not hard to find.

When you also factor in Pinky's argument, which is a pretty strong one IMO, then his "impending move" to Utd looks more and more like fantasy.

As I see it, Utd are in disarray at probably the worst possible time for them, it's almost the antithesis of when the Prem started. Then they had their stadium built, they had a scouting network second to none, they had very smart owners who marketed them superbly, they bought astutely with the likes of Cantona and Keane and they stuck with their manager, allowing him the time to become arguably the best manager ever seen.

Now they have gone through 2 managers in 3 seasons (if LVG gets the goober as expected), thrown a quarter of a million away on, let's face it, dross and are regressing at a time when much of the league has improved exponentially. Look at Stoke FFS!

I regard myself as extremely level headed when it comes to Spurs and even I think they have a snowball's chance in Hell of ever getting Harry, an extra £20 mill couldn't prise Bale from us after all.

Your facts may be accurate but, and I'll caveat this as my own opinion, they're irrelevant to this debate based on contrary evidence that is just as compelling, if not more so.

Not like we did celebrations like Liverpool after a last minute equaliser against West Brom at home. That goal put us 3rd. The players celebrated with the fans and not many Premier League clubs if any do. Over the past few years our players have often gone to the crowd on such occasions.

Hey atleast it's not a draw at home against West Brom.

Not sure who I'm taking in the "Best Everton XI" over ours.

Their best player is Lukaku, ours is Kane; that's the only spot I see up for discussion.

Lukaku could have 20+ goals by now if he didn't routinely fuck up chances. He's on a great run when you look at it at face value, but him and Kane are so similar (in my mind) it's hard to really say one is clear-cut better than the other overall. Ones got a bit more natural physical attributes (Lukaku) and one just seems like a better footballing brain (Kane).

Coleman would possibly get in and I'm a big Walker fan - that would be a close call IMO.

Coleman and Baines at his best would be in the discussion as well.

Berkeley too, that boy will be a monster when he matures, which will be sooner rather than later IMO

Yes definitely Barkley - I'd take him, can't believe I forgot about him. England team should be built around that kid.

If I were picking the team for the Euro's he'd play the ten role behind Kane.

Coleman would walk straight into our side, for me there's no one better in the Prem and he's probably top three in Europe. I find it mad that the top sides aren't after him barring a vague link with PSG right at the end of the last window. McCarthy is better than any of our midfielders too IMO, assuming Dembele returns to his usual inconsistency.

Not sure I'd take Baines over Rose, who suits our set up well. As of right now you'd probably take Eriksen and Lamela over Barkley and Deulofeu, but if they continue this year's form both of them would get into our side for sure. And Lukaku is class and improving all the time.

Everton's problem is that while they have a handful of players who could play for any team (Coleman, McCarthy, Lukaku) and a handful of exciting youngsters (Barkley, Deulofeu, Stones, Galloway), they also have some real rubbish in there. Jagielka, Howard and Barry are all well past their best and no longer good enough for a side challenging for Europe.

That's the entire defensive spine of their side and it's well below what's needed - adequately replace those and they'd be a real force, but they don't have the money to do so and will only raise the money by selling their stars.

Long post shortened: a Best XI of Spurs and Everton misses the point - it would probably be reasonably close - but while we're pretty balanced across the park, Everton are a mix of great and terrible. If you made a Worst XI, you'd probably come up with four Everton names before a Spurs player came to mind.

Coleman is very good at going forward but nowhere near a top player when asked to defend. His positioning is awful.

I'd second that. Dier and Alli behind them too.

As far as Everton's squad vs ours. I'd rather Kane over Lukaku, think he brings more to his game and is just as good a goalscorer. I'd take Barkley. Him with Eriksen to the left and Lamela to the right would be excellent.

I do rate Coleman, I'd have him over Walker. Baines was quality but at the moment his injury sets him back. Not sure if he'll get back to his best afterwards, he is getting on now.
