I mean, it’s not that different in terms of quality of opposition played is it. We’ve played all 3 promoted teams and Arsenal haven’t played any yet, but we’ve also played 3 out of last season’s top 5 and they’ve played 2. They’ve also played 5 home matches to our 4.

Anyway, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Martin Keown is very similar to a monkey in looks and speech. It may be completely irrelevant to the point I’m making in this post but it’s always worth remembering.
Yeh, but they've had it harder because theyve had to play us, and we've only had to play them

This we scored 2 because of mistakes is REALLY getting on my effing tits. Our PRESSING forced them into making mistakes, they didn't give the ball up under 0 pressure, it wasn't a lapse of concentration, we FORCED IT.
That along with the "if X team had taken their chances" horseshit. As @Gb160 has highlighted recently, why do these fans completely ignore the chances we miss?

Haven’t we had the most touches in the opposition box by quite some margin?

Could easily have scored another 7/8 goals we’ve missed quite a few sitters already.

I don't get the mentality of these fans. Surely, as they all predicted, they must be delighted at how we are doing now that Kane has left us

We've also missed out on 3 or 4 penalties we should have been given.

I swear even when doing well under Poch there wasn’t so much hatred and bitterness from other fans. All this thread does is tell me how many unhappy people filled with bile there are. It wasn’t like this 6/7 years ago.

Need a clinical goalscorer in January according to 2 sets of fans there. Must've missed Son winning a golden boot and scoring over a hundred league goals whilst playing second fiddle to Kane. Pretty sure he's been banging them in this season too, let me just check... Yep... Cretins
I don't get those comments either. So they suggesting move Son to the left then? He's playing his best position for me and now scoring for fun again. He's the 2nd best finisher in the league after Haaland. The one position up for grabs is left side but we need a younger option than Son who can give us more width.

I seem to remember an awful lot of fans(including on here) saying exactly the same thing about Arsenals start last season.....
This is true, and actually arsenal did lose to the first half decent team they played (United). The key was how they responded - they won the next 3 and 6 of the next 7. When we drop points (which we will) this is the key - play well the next game and we still have momentum. 2-3 poor results in a row and confidence can dissipate

Their own narratives have been rudely shattered. Kane leaving would finally bring down the curtain on plucky Spurs and their adventures at trying to be a good football side. It's likely what drives the "pfft, they won't win the title" hot-takes from some of them. Yeah, no shit Sherlock. But give them something to help them sleep at night I guess.

And all other opposition fans are looking through a lens of wanting us to fail as oppossed to being a bit more objective (we're all guilty of this, but some way worse than others)

I mean the other side of the coin, and its a massively important consideration -

Is that we should IMPROVE under Agne as he gets more time on the training pitch, week in week out and no European football to disrupt it.

Not seen one other fan mention that, because it doesnt fit with what they want to happen....as oppossed to what actually is more likely to happen.

Not to mention we're getting Bentacur back, a genuine bonafide world class midfield option.

They all laughed when we lost Kane thinking we'd be completey irrelevant now.

They're just stunned and cant process whats happening.

And Arsenal last season was diffetent...theyve had Arteta four years ffs and hadnt just lost their best ever player.
They rate us like this is the best we will be. Not the fact we're in transition and we have the 3rd youngest squad in the league. We're barely touching the surface of what we will be over the coming months. We're doing far better than we did the first few months under Poch. Even back then we didn't really see how good that team was until the 2nd season.

It's funny because not one person genuinely believes we're in the title race or going to win the title. Not one Spurs fan will tell you we're 100% winning it. We are only mentioned within the media because we are top after 9 games so we HAVE to be discussed to some degree.

They're all losing their minds while we just enjoy the ride. Loving it.
