I've just been looking at how the players that left in the summer are getting on at their respective clubs. This is what I've found:

Mido - Middlesbrough. 8 Apps. 2 goals
Danny Murphy - Fulham. 19 Apps. 3 goals
Emil Hallfredsson - Reggina. 14 Apps. 0 goals
Reto Ziegler - Sampdoria. 10 Apps. 0 goals
Rodrigo Defendi - Avellino. 0 Apps. 0 goals
Mark Yeates - Colchester. 28 Apps. 8 goals
Rob Burch - Sheffield Wednesday. 2 Apps. 0 goals
Charlie Lee - Peterborough. 26 Apps. 6 goals
Greg Lake - Kings Lynn. 9 Apps. 0 goals
Richard Stroud - Walton & Hersham. 4 Apps. 0 goals
Alex Smith - ??

Appearances are from the league only and include substitute appearances.

Greg Lake was an academy CB. Kings Lynn are in the Southern League Premier Division (Level 7)
Richard Stroud was an academy keeper. Walton & Hersham are in the Isthmian League Division 1 South (Level 8)
Alex Smith was an academy right-back. Haven't a clue where he ended up.

Emil Hallfredsson is doing really well. Been one of Reggina's best players this season and Napoli want to sign him.

The cynic might say that being one of Reggina's best players wouldn't be too difficult!

Well done and good luck to him, though. It would seem his style is much more suited to Serie A than the EPL.

Mido started very well at Boro but was struck down (surprise!) by the dreaded Pharoah's Groin.

Good to see Yeates and Lee doing so well—and as an addendum, Barney hit Southend's winner against Leeds last night, so double Brownie Points for that.

Mido is a joke. He literally has all the talent in the world but he just doesn't have it where it matters most - in his head.

A couple of pies and a bag of chips will do him the world of good.

I miss the Egyptian fans truthfully. I like Mido though, hope he does well if he ever starts playing again. He was on the bench for their win the otherday. Boro were supposed to sign Alfonso Alves this window, don't know if that is still happening.

I'm reliably informed Charlie Lee is playing really well at Peterborough. If they don't get promoted into League 1 this season then he'll be snapped up by either a League 1 or Championship side.

I notice that Stewart Lewis, who was released in the last January window and joined Barnet before moving onto Stevenage, has now followed Mark Stimson to Gillingham.

You could actually put together quite a decent League 1/Championship side from lads who have graduated from our Academy over the last five years:

Rob Burch (Sheff Wed)
Phil Ifil (Colchester)
Steven Kelly (Birmingham)
Charlie Lee (Peterborough)
Charlie Daniels (Orient, loan)
Dean Marney (Hull)
Stewart Lewis (Gillingham)
Jamie O'Hara (Spurs)
Mark Yeates (Colchester)
Andy Barcham (Orient, loan)
Lee Barnard (Southend)

There are a few more knocking around League 2 and the Conference, and others still at Spurs, such as McKenna, Mills, Maghoma and Dawkins, are likely to go on to decent careers.

There are supposed to be some more good youngsters coming through the Academy now, and the little I have seen of some of this year's graduates (Button, Archibald-Henville, Davis, Martin etc) is encouraging. Hopefully Ramos will be prepared to give a few of them a chance, as he has done with O'Hara.

eddie thats so wierd, I was thinking that exactly, the list below would make a very decent championship team plus many of them have played together before so the understnding would be there.

Good to see Barney score against Leeds, he was really unlucky with the timing of his injuries, really hope he suceeds at Southend

Don't forget Johnnie Jackson at Colchester.

And there's Jamie Slabber and Nathan Peprah-Annan at Havant & Waterlooville who, of course, were unlucky to get turned over by the minnows of Liverpool in the Cup.
