Avoid the Europa League Place, an appearance and MOTM display from Lamela, beat and relegate West Ham, Utd win the CL at the expense of fourth place Arsenal, LVG to officially take over the day the WC ends....

I want us to continue to work our bollocks off, play like we want it, and keep going and believing to the very end. Teams around us are just as likely to slip as we are. Winners never give up, and even if we do win every game and yet still finish in 5th place then we've done so with our heads held high, we're still in Europe, and we're still a top 4 bothering team in spite of the club becoming a mad-as-a-bag-of-hamsters clusterfuck.

- 8 wins
- Huddlestone 25 yard winner in the cup final followed by "selfie" celebration in front of crying gooners
- Arsenal finish 4th and United win Champs League

Not too much to ask I dont think

I'd love nothing more than for us to win at Anfield.

Would give us a glimmer of hope for the top four again but even better it would feel so sweet to put one over them and bring them down a peg or two.

Just hoping for an upset in the Arse and Everton games tonight - anything to keep the excitement going no matter how slim our chances.

1. The back 4 to stay fit and the Kaboul/Vertonghen partnership to get a solid run of games

2. Lamela fit and in the team

3. 4-3-3 with Sandro, Dembele and Eriksen in midfield, with Townsend and Lamela either side of Adebayor

4. A run of wins to boost confidence

5. A couple of high scoring victories

id swap Dembele with Paulinho the rest is spot on

Honestly, I had long written off this season. After yesterday, however, and looking at the rest of everyone's fixtures - fuck it, pip Arsenal for fourth on the last day. After Liverpool we have arguably the best run-in of anyone. Audere est facere.

True enough.
There are no easy games, so we both (us and Goons, or should I include Liverpool in this) have some eminently lose-able games.
Aside from their games against Citeh and then away to Everton, the Goons also have to travel away to Hull days after an FA Cup semi, and they also have to travel to Norwich on the last day, and it is not likely that the Canaries will be either in a position or a mood to roll over for them.
That said, I still think we will need something from Anfield, and probably a win, not just for the points but also for the morale boost, and then pretty much to remain unbeaten for the rest of the season. A tough ask, even if the Goons lose some of those games (or any others, I'm not really fussy).

If Swansea some how take something from tonights game and City smash the granny out of them on the weekend then we would be back in with a shout of pipping them to fourth should we get a win at Anfield

Can't see it happening - it would however be the greatest poetic justice for us to beat them to fourth on the final day of the season for once

As for their final game to Norwich - I suspect they'll be safe by then so even if we do somehow claw our way back into contention by then there's another final day heart break at the hands of Arsenal on the cards
