Completely get where you're coming from but the CL is huge both in terms of extra money and prestige which will both be needed badly to buy Contes targets in the summer.
Yeah I hope we get top 4 but don't think we will able to since he didn't have proper preseason and it will take some time to transition to 352, learn which players deserve a clean slate and which need to get sold, plus depends on what we will be able to do in January transfer market, will Kane return to form any not miss months with ankle injury etc.

Won't be easy without proper preseason plus Lo Celso and Romero might miss some games because of International qualifiers, wouldn't mind us finishing 8th, missing all European competitions (even though coefficients matter), with Conte and with only one competition to focus on we could really do something special next year.
Don't think Romero and Lo Celso would miss many games, mabye 1-2 max and that shouldn't be an excuse for us not winning games, we have enough quality overall and Conte will put a system in place the players can buy into.

Yes joining mid-season is always tricky and it may take a bit of time but I think the motivation alone of the squad will be completely transformed under Conte.

I think absolute minimum finish should be 6th and hopefully have a real go at winning ECL or League Cup, possibly FA Cup if we get a nice draw.

Run of fixtures now are a real blessing tbh. Should be able to win most of them whilst transitioning to his style just as a result of having a better team (much like we managed under Mason).

He's basically got a month without any big games to work on the team and test things out.

Would be ok with a loss or draw tomorrow, provided that we show some improvement or signs of organisation

Incredibly a win tomorrow would leave us only 8 points off top and max 3 points off top 4 with 27 games remaining

3 points tomorrow, all day long. We’ve got more away points at Goodison Park than any other ground since the PL began

Yeah it's been a great place for us over the years. Let's hope that 'good' Everton don't turn up

Win today and then Leeds Brentford Norwich home in next 4 and Burnley away. Chelsea have United Leicester West Ham in next 4. I’m thinking big ?

All of a sudden there is s chance of Top4, whereas a week ago, it would have been regarded as pure fantasy. What we need is OGS to stay in charge of Man U till the end of the season, though even if they sack him i am not sure what they would do since the best available manager in the world is now at Spurs.

I agree we are now aiming for fourth but that is only if the team take of immediately, which I have my doubts. I think it will take a couple of months to get us firing so we just need to stay in touching distance. Second half of the season though, there is no excuse if the players listen to Conte and react to his methods.

Expectations now = improved game play and players

with our squad developed to have 2-3 players in each position challenging for the starting xi - our first xi hasn’t been challenged for such a long time

GK automatic

RCB - Romero Tanganga
CB - Dier Sanchez
LCB - Davies Romero Rodon

CM - PEH Skipp
CM 2 - GLC Winks

RWB - Emerson Doherty Bergwijn
LWB - Reggy Bergwijn Gil Sessegnon

ACM - Tanguy GLC Dele

FW - Kane Son Lucas Bergwijn Dele

If all the above players play to their full potential AND be fitter, hungrier, coached n drilled by Conte, we may not need any signings at all.

But I’d want a #9 to keep Kane and Sonny on their toes, as well as to give them rest.

Should have won today, seriously underwhelming in attack.

We need to start winning, we have 4 games now that are as good a run as we will get in a season. Anything less that 12 points unacceptable. Do that and we will right back in the mix for top 4.

If we don’t get another striker or attacker in during January then I think we can forget top four. Until then we just need to stay within a handful of points. Scoring a goal would be a good start!

10 league games between now and 1st Jan. 8 of them are very winnable. Of course we likely won't win all 8, but there's a real opportunity here to get 21-24 points from the next 30. I reckon that gets us sitting 4th / 5th ahead of Woolwich on 16th Jan. Assuming that Ole remains at United, and West Ham players run out of steam, that 4th spot should be looking good for us. By this point the players fitness will be miles better and Conte's system will be understood, and hopefully we'll pick up a forward in Jan ahead of the fixtures turning tougher again. Cue optimistic ratings, but this period between now and 1st Jan is critical, and I'm quietly confident. Of course, a lot of this depends on whether or not Kane learns to play football again.

Next 3 PL games all played over a week;

West Ham (23)- city A Brighton H Chelsea H
Woolwich (20) - Newcastle H United A Everton A
Wolves (19) - Norwich A Burnley H Liverpool H
Spurs (19) - Burnley A Brentford H Norwich H

Realistic chance of being top 4 after next week.

My starting prediction was 5-6 and win a cup. I maintain that prediction though there's a chance of 4th and I'm not sure if our squad will be strong enough to compete in multiple competitions.

I think there'll be inconsistency with results as our weaknesses can;t and won't be resolved straight away.

We are still mentally fragile - we have not put a run together in PL since Feb2019. This is the biggest task yet for Conte.

Target for us should be to go on a run of 10 games os so, without losing - just taking as many points as we can within it. Our immediate target should be getting 2 pts per game by Jan.

If we do that, with couple of signings in Jan, we should be in top4

still think 7-11th.

not going to get giddy at narrowly beating a depleted leeds side sitting just outside the relegation zone at home after being thoroughly outplayed for the entire first half. conte is a better manager than nuno but the manager wasn't the primary issue, it's these players. the lack of technical ability among this squad is glaring, even the sides at the bottom of the table can knock the ball around better than we can. we've scored four fewer than newcastle. we are an average team.

I would agree with you if our performance was same even in 2nd half yesterday. The running stats, attacking stat were so much high in that 2nd half compared to 1st.

1/3rd into the season, Title contenders Liverpool , have won just 1 more than bang average Tottenham...Having said , Goal difference gives a different story - Liverpool +24, Spurs -6.
There is lot we should improve - but fact is, our low isnt as bad it is, when you look at the table.

The only way is up for this Spurs side. More Conte works with team, more better this squad will be..

I have changed my vote to 5th - 6th. Our goal difference shows just how bad we have been this season. But if we do recruit first team upgrades in January we should have top 4 firmly in our sights. Man U and Leicester are below us now and struggling. Brighton and Wolves will have dips. West Ham do look genuine contenders for top 4, but they are one injury to Antonio away from a problem, and also have the Europa League which will stretch their resources even further in February and March.
