Moaning about Arsenal's "luck" as if we are winning all our games lol

These things don't have to be exclusive.

Arsenal definitely had their fair share of luck in their last two wins but at the same time showed a lot more fight and desire than we have in the last two games. So in that way fair play to them. In hindsight it's not so surprising really that they dropped points against teams like Palace, Brighton and Southampton rather than the last two games. With WH, Leeds, Newcastle and Everton the onus is back on them to deliver which is a different dynamic. These teams will try to soak up pressure from them and expose their weaknesses at FB especially.

We definitely have ourselves to blame more than their 'luck' regardless.

Frustrating given that it was in our own hands.

absolute failure if we don’t get CL spot from where we were 2 weeks ago, or even a week ago.

who’d have though Doherty would be missed this much eh!

It still is in our hands. Liverpool will be very tricky considering their record but with a bit of luck defensively we could beat them. We are well suited to attack them given their high line. Everton held them for a long while yesterday and got in behind several times. Son, Kane, Kulu and our attacking set up in general is ideal for that game.

I back us to score a couple of times but I also think we could concede just as many. That game is a 50/50 shootout for me.

Firstly we need to get the job done against Leicester though. If ever we needed a scrappy goal to get ahead it is in this next game.

Arsenal shortening to 1/2 for top 4 after that cluster-f*** of a week for us. Feels about right with the remaining fixtures.

Im not sure if the blame can solely be directly onto Kane but he should take as much flack as any other player. As a club I feel we need to make some big decisions next season with some players. This can’t carry on as we are, it’s ground hog day once again. We more or less have EL football next season, let’s win the thing With or without Kane.

He's been the creator during the run, now teams are just bundling him when the ball gets near him and there goes our attack with the current wingbacks offering nothing.

The thing that pisses me off is that our future is so uncertain season after season. We aren't big enough to be assured that our best players and coach will stay if we fall short, which means the penalty for that is always amped up. It's made watching this team barely pleasurable because every poor performance increases the jeopardy.

In some ways I do envy the gooners with their project as at least you don't have to worry about the above. I dearly hope we manage to finish fourth, but I don't see it and until we get through the summer I doubt I'll have any faith in our club.

Agree with your first paragraph but in terms of your second, it won’t be long before teams are after saka and one or two others. If it’s not this summer it will be next. They’ve been more of a selling club than us in recent decades. Man City have decimated their teams in fairly recent years for example (adebayor, cliche, Sagna, tour, nasri)

Saka still hasn't signed a new deal. I think Martinelli might be similar. Players are a lot less keen to tie themselves down for long periods these days. Rice doing similar at West Ham. I guess CL would probably be enough for at least one of them to sign a new deal but players are wising themselves up to tying themselves down now. I imagine Zaha and Kane are two of the big reasons players are starting to do that here. They'll likely only take new contracts if the money is crazy or there is a release clause a la Grealish.

I think the game is changing in that respect. Teams will lose more players on free transfers but also pick up more. Does mean more money filtering out of the game and into player/agent pockets though.

Considering how freely we were scoring and the momentum we were building.....these last two results would've been easier to swallow if we had at least threatened to score and just been unlucky. But two games without a shot on target is a real worry.

Now we are going into a home game with the pressure of needing to win and needing to actually get a shot on target. Either way, I think we have to beat Liverpool now, not ideal.

We play before them this weekend

It would all look so different if we win and West Ham manage a draw, its still very close, although it does feel like the momentum is changng back again.

Its more likely however that we draw and West Ham decide to muggy it up and get tonked 3/4-0

We have to make some points up on them this weekend or it could well be over, the only other game I can see them slipping up in is Newcastle away. We will 100% lose to Liverpool so a win in the NLD offsets that

Its not going to happen sadly.

We look so flat, energyless and beaten. I think it is likely well finish 5th.

I think well beat Leicester as Leicester are quite easy to play against but after that bar norwich, I cant see us winning another game.

He was doing well, but not the reason for our drop off the last two games.
Unfortunately we rely almost solely on Harry having a worldie ,either to assist or score, once he drops off we fall off the cliff.
Bar the odd goal, Harry is the common denominator in all our goals.
Fingers crossed he returns to his best or we have no hope.

Well it was meant tongue in cheek, but thinking about it, not so sure - kulu hasn’t been the same with royal behind him last 2 games!

Does beg the question why after such a good run the team get themselves in a good position only to fall off the cliff.
I suppose we should be used to it but still it's made worse by allowing of all teams in our bitterest rival.

Really trying to be objective here but I think all Arsenal games are gonna be really tough. Obviously the NLD and Newcastle away. Leeds look much more solid now and need few more points, Everton might be do or die their game. West Ham has fallen very nice for them but they are very resilient under Moyes. Some might say can say same about us but I do think Leicester Burnley Norwich are much more favourable for us. I just think Leicester in same situation as West Ham but they are much more flaky and will probably give us space. And I just don’t think Burnley are very good, I’d rather be playing them than Everton at this point. Some might disagree on that, just the way I see it. I certainly wouldn’t swap fixtures.

I think the down term in ability on the right wing and playing against teams who worked us out. Our wing backs are offering nothing currently, the players don’t even seem like they want to pass to Emerson, he doesn’t really make runs and it means teams are simply doubling up on the space where Kane operates.
Pack midfield, defend deep, leave our wing backs free and you stop spurs. It’s too simple and we aren’t doing anything to change that.
Conte has to roll the dice and play berg at rwb just to add some danger in such a key position. You cannot leave berg alone so it’ll create more space.
i would even like to see Kulu moved to 10 and berg at rwb. Kulu help sure us up in midfield and provide creativity and berg can create the danger on the right. But clearly conte won’t do it for some reason.
