Our poor run of form seems to have consided with Ndombele being played in the 2.

For all of Tanguy’s quality he simply doesn’t have it in him to run a game in the way Yaya Toure did. When he gets involved he’s brilliant but he just doesn’t get involved enough.

Took Bale coming on and putting us on his shoulder second half. Showed his class today

Dont get the complaints about dele. Thought he made intelligent runs and tried to open them up in different ways to how we had been trying.
No absolutely, he played well. Dele will never be the kind of player that won't frustrate some people, it's the nature of the game, if you coach out that invention, and have them play safe all the time, you have half the player. He's not a superstar, but I think even Dele of last season, or the season before that, is still a useful player to have who contributes with plenty of goals and assists and while maybe shouldn't always start is a really useful player to have, particularly in a team that is so reliant on goals from two players in Son and Kane, I think we've misused him, and today he really helped push the game further towards us when he came on.

But it can be two things, we need better players (in defence especially) but we also need a new manager.

We lost to David Moyes West Ham...nobody can tell me they have a better squad than we do. It's all on Jose.

This is as bad as Spurs have been for many a year. We weren't even this bad under Sherwood.

I think we need better players so that the manager can do his job properly, we are pretty low on confidence right now and are being let down by individuals, people wanted Jose to play on the front foot which we are now but surprised how bad our defence are which was always going to be exposed, I mean what exactly were you expecting? The Everton match was a massive clue.

We’ll never know... Lamela was playing well. Son, Kane and Moura weren’t. Our defence was a car crash. You either take off one of the poor players or a defensive player and change formation.
Or you take off a player already on a (pretty stupid) yellow card and no league goals since before the pandemic. I dunno...

Jose is essentially 5 years too late for this team. When we had the likes of Vertonghen, Walker and a fully fit Alderweireld, he would have been more successful.

Said it before but if Jose was managing the team when we were challenging Leicester or Chelsea then we'd have won one of them.

At the end of the day, we should have won that game.

That 2nd half shouldn't mask that we had no real tactics, no real system once again. Relying on individual brilliance.

Sanchez and Dier are not even top 10 material and both made countless mistakes today.

Whilst Lucas scored, it was a header and he was awful/wasteful on the ball today. It's the equivalent of one of Sanchez/Dier scoring with their feet outside of the box, they are still costing us.

The only positive to come out from the game is Bale. A little too late with our league season looking very bad.

The question is, can you allow a manager to get in relegation form hoping he changes it in a final a few months away? Lost 5/6. We really allowing ourselves to finish bottom half of the table for this football on the hope we can beat a City team that battered us?

Jose will get sacked eventually, whether it be the next few games, after the cup final or at end of the season. Can another manager come in a rescues us? We sacked our best manager in god know many years for much less.. Even that Cup win doesn't stop us losing millions when we fail to finish in the CL twice in a row.

I actually thought Tanganga did OK first half, bit harsh bringing him off at half time.

I get the theory, Doherty is a more attacking RB but he was awful, possibly cost us the 2nd goal, AND was a waste of a sub. Ffs.

Bale looked lively though, I did enjoy watching him even if it was a seriously depressing game.

A total brain fart at the beginning of each halves and then we were the better team throughout.
Could have been 3 or more goals for us but we’re not clinical enough. Bale was a good substitution and delivered a great corner to Moura.
Doherty is even worse than Davies at hitting crosses.

Totally. That defence, play with a mid to low block (to help Toby), PEH in front of the defence and then shit loads of attacking and passing players. Give Rodon real backing and a run of games to get the hang of things. A CB you then have the old master and young pacy prodigy.

Can bring Davies on later in games if Reggie is knackered or you want someone to see out the game.

It's so obvious that Mourinho wont do it because there's nothing special about it.

But he is placing his future on dier and sanchez. Its asking for the death penalty
