Signed up via direct debit for member ship but it is saying I cant buy a ticket. And I havent had a confirmation of membership email.

So stressful!

It can take up to 24hours for you to be able to access the tickets unless you call them and select option 2. Apparently these people have untold power and can release them - something to do with the system updating itself. In reality it shouldn't take that long but mine took a couple of hours. Just stick with it!

Thanks for the help. Could be a long night of waiting, constantly refreshing emails...

They were what was available at the time after hours of waiting to get in. None of us knew at the time other blocks would open up. Anyway, the 'in the gods' seats are not as bad as people fear. Having sat up there twice before, it's fine. Especially for the price.

I meant not the case, as the club held them back, not that it wasn't true at the time.

But yeah you're right I've sat up there many times and not had a problem, there's no bad views at Wembley.

I phoned the ticket office and it says there is a delay in buying a new membership and being able to buy Champions League tickets.

But it didn't say how long.

The thing that has wound me up is that I have bought tickets for 3 matches where I would of been closer to pitch staying at home watching it in the midlands. Then all of sudden an announcement comes up saying we have only sold 41,000 tickets and most of the stadium is still empty although when I logged on it was claimed to be sold out!

I also noticed that for Liverpool match over 6k members applied and 4.5k members got tickets with the loyal points cut off at 39 points. This is with a stadium with a capacity of 29k...so I am bit a bemused how we are going to fill at 61,000 seater stadium week in week out over the years unless we are challenging at the top of the league like last season?

Unless you sell your soul to the Asian market a la Man United, there will always be empty seats if performances dip. Just look at Man City and the scum.

As others have said, if the pricing is right, it will get filled. Just look at West Ham!

I never thought I'd see Levy give a discount package away like these CL games, so I have some optimism he's aware of what needs to be done to fill a large seater stadia. Seems he's using Wembley as an experiment for future methods at our new ground.

After all the shit we have had to put up with to get tickets, I better find a flag and a Harry Kane doll on my seat when I get there.

wouldn't surprise me if they've only sold the front half of the upper tier seats and are opening the back half up for individual sales etc.

Must've sold all the lower tier (except away allocation and one block either side of the tunnel) and most of club wembley

Yep, all the lower tier is gone. If the away club doesn't sell all there alacation. They might open more up, but that'd be much closer to the day of the game.

The tickets being released in the middle tier are a few of the £150 club Wembley tickets. And the top half of the upper tier was blocked of in the corners, obviously to fill the parts closer to the cameras.

People will always show up when tickets are £1/£5 or as is the case with schools - free.

Looks like just a few left now after some more level 2 club Wembley ones were released.

I hadn't renewed my membership over the past couple of years as IMO it wasn't worth the cost I had paid five years running but after seeing on here that there were still CL packages available I went in and renewed and have got tickets so here's my timeline as a guide...

My timeline:
  • 22:30 last night - Renewed membership
    • Online said still unable to buy packages
    • Membership status changed
    • Loyalty points not added
  • 08:10 this morning - after ticket office had opened
    • Online said still unable to buy packages
    • Membership status changed
    • Loyalty points added
  • 9:30 this morning
    • Online allowed me to select seats and purchase ticket in block 215 (so not in the gods)
    • Membership status changed
    • Loyalty points added

So all in all quite quick and it should give you access soon (not sure if it refreshes overnight and changes your status).

I had an almost identical experience yesterday. Think it must update eligibility between 9-10am sometime...

Apparently my membership hadn't gone through (even though I confirmed the direct debit) so I had to sign up again.

3 phone calls and a lot of stress this morning and I'm sitting in Block 516 Row 13

Can't wait! :D

First ever CL game
First time at the new Wembley

Now to worry about how many times I'm going to get charged for membership...

Was expecting the club to have sold more then 41,000 tickets especially with the favourable ticketing prices

Got 4 tickets in the upper end last night.

I think we can sell 70,000 tickets.

My main hope is the season tickets are affordable for the new stadium and not like Arsenal prices. Would be happy with anything under £700.

Got it in the end. I might be able to only go to one match (although I'll put every effort in to go to all of them), and I'll sell them on here if I can't make two of them.
