Yeah, looked good. Cracking goal it was, as well. Great overlap from Gunter, good pass to pick him out, he played it inside for Koumas who buried it. Wales actually looked halfway decent, to be fair.

Yeah, nice to hear he had a good game!

And great with a young good, potentially great (hope so at least) fullback that seemingly can play both positions, we look really strong and well covered in the fullback positions now and will be exciting to see how well they all develop in the future (Bale, Gunter, Hutton) ...

COYS!

You're forgetting Gilberto. I don't think we signed him for what's left of this season.

I think Bale's got massive potential, but at this moment I don't see him as a LB at the top level, for the simple reason that his tackling's a long way short of the rest of his game. Another season or so, hopefully he'll be there.

I see Gilberto as the kind of player we signed in summer 2005, like Salty, Leapy and Davids. A solid and experienced pro who'll more than do us for a season or two and pass on his experoence to he youngsters.

Pretty excited about Gilberto, does anyone know why he missed out in the United game last week?

well done Chris - hope he plays v Derby

I dunno, I'd imagine Hutton is a dead cert, and Gilberto will probably pick up his first start, after all, neither of them can play in the Waffer Cup can they?

Hi Kendall - Take your point re Hutton - Gilberto can play in UEFA AFAIK - but I'd play all 3 anyway - Gilberto LM

or maybe sub one of the 3 after an hour or so- so all 3 play in that regard

There's a part of me that wants to rest Hutton for the final - but it probably isn't a good idea - I'd certainly be tempted to sub him ASAP if he picked up a yellow though

Not sure that Gilberto can't, were Hertha Berlin in the Uefa cup? otherwise he should be ok.

gunter reminds me of dennis irwin. tough little bugger who enjoys getting stuck in and plays on both sides.

one of wales senior players last night as well. could well be captain by the time he hits his early twenties.

Hi WS - according to the BBC squad profiles he hasn't played a European game - but obviously that's not official

doesnt have to play a game to be registerd by a club in europe, as long as they put him down at the start as a player they can play then we cant play him, or so that is my understanding of it
