Hmm, I know he said those words, but I don't think that's what he means. That headline comes across as exceptionally arsey, and he's not.

I think he means we got him cheap, we've had him for 8 years, we've seen him progress, which is the best time for any player, and that he SHOULD be amazing now as City have paid £50m for him.

He says those words but I'm not sure he meant it how that headline reads. It's more "we had the best years of his life, seeing him grow from a 4m raw talent to the best right back in England" kind of vibe

I think his point is it's not like we've had him for 2 seasons and he's buggered off
