We have just come through two very successful seasons, we are to soon have the a stadium as good if not better than any other in the EPL and a very good nucleus of top class players. We also have a manager who is developing into an all time great.

Of course Vertonghen is right that to continue moving towards becoming a genuine top European club the players must back the dream and stay. I have faith that the bond this team has developed will mean we keep the very important players. Those last 17 games convinced me that there is every hope that at the start of the new season will see pretty much all of last years stars and with 2 or 3 good buys a put in strong challenge for the title.
