Wow, we think we have problems. After reading this I have to come to the conclusion that RVP is next on the long long list of excellent players to want out of Arsenal. And to think, they are in the CL every single season and still lose on average one major player every season. Why on earth do we think that all of our players would be happy if we qualified for the competition every year? It's all only ever been about the money...

a non-story really, much along the lines of the stuff we've had for the last five years. RVP says he's happy at the Woolwich, not looking to move and doesn't need a new contract yet, but the piece is presented as if the person writing it is nudging you with their elbow, winking and putting words like "fine" in inverted commas with their fingers.

Thought this was going to be a scathing attack on L'arse from the rapist but it's only him saying that he's not going to rush a new contract.

If City do come in for him in January, I think he will sign (for the Manchester club).

It's a tough one.

From Arsenal's point of view he's missed a lot of game-time for them, game-time in which he could of made the difference, due to him being made of glass.

But on the other hand, Arsenal are shipping players left right and centre at the moment and that can't be very encouraging.

I think he owes them loyalty myself, but then I'm crazy like that and things don't tend to work in the honourable way in most walks of life thesedays.

He is a brilliant player. No player has it all, even Messi is a midget. He's such a sick note it's untrue.

Hopefully he's learnt a few tricks from Sol Campbell and is going to string along his current club on the promise of signing a new contract before switching to their North London rival on a free transfer.

He uses his size to his advantage!

I suppose it's impossible to have it all but Messi must be dam close!

Well that was the assumption I was making when I posted the article - although I didn't explain myself well. Its almost a carbon copy of the stuff Campbell was saying....

It does sound pretty identical doesn't it!?! I'm sure if he proves his fitness this year then one of the big European teams will come in for him.

When people say they miss David Dein this is why. No way a player like Nasri would have been able to get into the last year of his contract. If they have yet another trophy less campaign RvP will be next

Wonder why David Dein hasn't managed to get back in yet?

I thought the businessman he was backing got a massive controlling stake in the club?

Could be wrong though, Arsenal politics aren't something I follow that closely...

Yeah and isn't that the other thing?.... Players who are playing for they're next contract (wherever its going to be) tend to always hit fitness and form in the year leading up to it... Cynical? yes, but imo justifiably so, and it's putting me off supporting the sport even if its happening to Arsenal.
