Even Kyle Walker was more gracious. He thanked Spurs and claimed he wouldn’t be the player he is today without us. Wonder what Trippier is referring to behind the scenes.

Apparantley after the Liverpool match at Wembley those 2 had a punch up, think it was @ValenciaYid who confirmed it

As a 28 year old defender, I would have hoped he would have learnt the defensive side by now.

Think I remember some of the context, although I'm not privy to details. Spurs played Liverpool last September, Liverpool won 1-2, Alderweireld and Trippier were at fault for one goal each, and subsequently both players remained at home (ie. didn't even travel with the squad) for the following away match in CL. Make of that what you want.

He sounded like he wanted to stay at Spurs but had been told he would be sold for the right price.

Disagreements at work are normal - but it’s annoying he’s said what he’s said; the “I can’t tell you but something bad has happened...” type of pointless statements.

He’s done well getting to Atletico, but these sound like sour grapes. I’m certain he would rather have stayed despite these comments, had he had the choice.

Maybe but its so annoying for him to bring up something like the "behind the scenes" comment.
yes he had a bad last season and he said so before himself, why not just say he needed the change and that's it.
