21:48 GOAL - Tottenham 5-1 Sunderland - Gylfi Sigurdsson (90 mins)
Oh dear. The knife has well and truly been turned as Tottenham wrap up the win with a deserved fifth. Sunderland fail to clear a free-kick into the area and Gylfi Sigurdsson takes full advantage to swat the ball in from close range. Even more damaging than the defeat itself is the Sunderland players' lack of fight. They have given up far too easily.
21:43 GOAL - Tottenham 4-1 Sunderland - Emmanuel Adebayor (86 mins)
One of the easier goals Emmanuel Adebayor will have scored this season as Sunderland fall apart. Harry Kane capitalises on a poor Wes Brown header to race past Santiago Vergini, who subsequently gives up the chase far too easily and Kane passes to the unmarked Adebayor to tap in from close range.
21:40 SUBSTITUTION - Tottenham 3-1 Sunderland
With the points seemingly in the bag, Tim Sherwood makes a couple of changes as the game enters the last 10 minutes. First, Nacer Chadli goes off with Gylfi Sigurdsson given a run-out and then Andros Townsend comes on for Aaron Lennon.
21:41 Substitution, Tottenham Hotspur. Gylfi Sigurdsson replaces Nacer Chadli.
21:34 GOAL - Tottenham 3-1 Sunderland - Christian Eriksen (78 mins)
Just as Gus Poyet's changes looked to have got Sunderland back into the game, the excellent Christian Eriksen puts the contest beyond them. This time he receives the ball outside the area from Nacer Chadli, looks up and then shoots low, with his effort taking a slight deflection off Phil Bardsley on its way into the net.
21:32 SUBSTITUTION - Tottenham 2-1 Sunderland
Gus Poyet does indeed decide to make changes as Craig Gardner and Ignacio Scocco come on with Carlos Cuellar and goalscorer Lee Cattermole making way.
21:20 A break in play at the moment as Wes Brown is being treated after taking a heavy knock when he clashed with Harry Kane, who is sporting a nasty looking cut on his forehead as a result of the collision.
21:15 GOAL - Tottenham 2-1 Sunderland - Harry Kane
Harry Kane marks his full league debut with a goal and, unsurprisingly, it is Christian Eriksen who creates it. He curls a low ball into the area where Kane sticks out a boot to poke the ball beyond Sunderland goalkeeper Vito Mannone.
HALF-TIME - Tottenham 1-1 Sunderland
20:42 Lee Cattermole (Sunderland) is shown the yellow card for a bad foul.
20:27 GOAL - Tottenham 1-1 Sunderland - Emmanuel Adebayor (28 mins)
It is a goal for Emmanuel Adebayor but I'm not sure how much he actually knew about it. Christian Eriksen drills the ball across the face of goal, Wes Brown sticks out a boot but fails to get a touch and instead the ball smacks Adebayor somewhere around the chest area to deflect into the goal. Game on!
20:20 Marcos Alonso (Sunderland) is shown the yellow card.
20:17 GOAL - Tottenham 0-1 Sunderland - Lee Cattermole (17 mins)
Disastrous defending from Tottenham sees them fall behind as Lee Cattermole's neat finish gives Sunderland the lead. After picking up a pass from Hugo Lloris, Vlad Chiriches plays a horrendous square ball to no-one and Cattermole can't believe his luck as he intercepts the pass with no-one around him and finishes from outside the area with Lloris stranded. That's Cattermole's first-ever Sunderland goal.
