"nd half was a waste of space. I am pleased with 3 points but really disappointed with the 2nd half performance. Say what you like about strolling to victory but some of the passing was terrible and could have cost us against a better team than Portsmouth.

Good job. They didn't need to step out of 1st gear, so they didn't. Why risk more sprains and tears? - especially with the games we have coming up.

Another 3 pts.

I'm almost starting to believe.

Yeah, well, I'm happy, but it's not very Spurs-like to walk around the park like that, and I think it was a bit of a favour to an old mate from 'arry. Besides, a few extra for the goal difference wouldnt hurt now, would it?

Anyway, solid though dull performance, Walker looked lively and Bale triffic as always. Bit concerned that Modders and tHudd didnt dominate even more in the midfield and Bentley slowed us down everytime he was on the ball second half. Hopes he gets a talking to, he was good in the first but is never gonna go through an entire team Messi-style so might as well pass the bloody ball.

Reckon that was the farewell to Villa. If we can pull one out of the hat against Sunderland too we'll be looking very, very strong going into the semis and the top three (might be above Arsenal after that game :hump:)

Okay, Happy camper - COME ON YOU SPURS!

I think you're asking too much there bud, after beating the chavs 3-1 they thought they won the league and stopped playing

But it wasn't against a better team. They were exerting themselves as little as possible, whilst ensuring three points. I think the team were bored themselves in the 2nd half. At one point I spotted Gomes playing on his Gameboy when the ball was up the other end.

we slowed the temp in the 2nd half to minimize risks considering the amount of players who are out and the congested fixture list coming up.

i thought it was a clinical performance today and we cannot complain. We are 7 points clear of Villa and Liverpool! That is mental at this time of the season. Who would have predicted that?

I really felt sorry for Pompey at one stage. We lets be clear on this for the SF, these lot will be really really up for it. I really do hope we have start with PAV,DEFOE,LENNON and WILSON and dare I say CHARLIE back. We did take the foot of the peddle .. But a WIN IS A WIN ! Well done Kyle. I did want to slap David B at one time, I hate these step overs. Gareth played a blinder.ONWARDS AND UPWARDS !

Just wish Fulham had got the draw last week, that table would look soooo much better.

That said, I can't see Wigan doing anything tommorow, so it's between us and City for 4th.

Personally with what has been said about the Wembley pitch of late, I'd rather Lennon & Defoe were subs if they are fit enough and only used if we absolutely have to. We should be able to beat Pompey with those currently fit and save those 2 for league games.

Professional job performed by the team and as much as we'd all like to see another Wigan-esque thrashing, the game was won and we didn't need to over exert ourselves.

Hopefully with a weeks rest we can get even more of our 1st team back and further boost the fitness of those recently involved. It also means another game down towards the Palacios 10th yellow card cloud lifted as well so providing we didn't pick up any bad knocks (Daws esp.) then it's all good!

I don't see Wigan doing anything tomorrow but I'm hoping they play well and get a good result on Monday.

A solid performance and three well-earned points again.

Good work again from from Gareth and well done Kyle, both deserve special mentions.

Anyone else noticed that after Villa's hammering we now have the second-best defensive record in the league?

Good solid professional performance from the boys today. The game away to Citeh is going to be pivotal! A point there and we should be home and dry!

Alas I think Bale will be targeted for destruction by any one of Man Yoo, Chelsea and Arsenal.
