Smaller stadium, no club Wembley bukkshit and only true fans would get a ticket

You could argue only true fans got a ticket at WHL, but you can guarantee Burnley at home would be a funeral.

Also, if playing in a big stadium is really such an issue, then our problems aren't going to end with the one season at Wembley.

We need to STFU about Wembley and just get on with it.

They don't seem to be playing with the same urgency as last season. Ali is playing like he would rather be some where else. I don't feel there is the same bond with the players. I don't know perhaps it's just me but they have certainly seemed different so far this season. It's going tio be a long season if we can't put teams like Burnley away. I hate to see what Utd will do to us.

They're just sitting back and inviting us on. We've shown 'some' good movement around the box but none of it has come off and as soon as we go out to trips he seems to be taking the easy option of playing it back to Toby.

Not sure why people are so surprised though, it's how we've played for ages... choke them out with possession in first half then increase the tempo and turn the screw in the 2nd

Once i was going to do a gig in london with my old band and we were all a bit tired and flat so i necked a glass of vinegar in a cafe to shake things up. I can only hope Poch has the same motivational nouse as me at half time

everyone says they hate playing teams that sits with 10men.

except teams like chelsea, manu of the old, all the top teams, relishes these teams because they pin them onto the floor and fuck them up which ever way they want to.

top teams up their tempo and break these teams up with their tempo and relentless pressure. theres a reason why we used to concede late against teams because we were average. against average teams, as long as you keep attacking them, they wont be able to keep up and will finally break under pressure.

our attacking.options are too limited. no subs to change the game whatsoever. a mane would have turned us into contenders ages ago

Anyone who thinks we don't need to add pace needs to look at the Bin Dippers second goal. Hate to say it but they are a real threat this season.

Arsenal were a goal down and attacking leaving space behind. Burnley are sitting back compact.

Not quite sure why we've reverted to a back 4. We look so much better when we play with a 3.

Your talking as if Trippier is like Corluka slow or something ?

We've seen literally hundreds of games play out like this. It's not Trippier's lack of "pace" that is an issue in any way, there's no space for him to "sprint" into, Burnley have 28% of the ball and are squeezed into their third.

What we are desperately crying out for is a midfielder (or two) who can ping the ball when a pass is actually on, not have to send it via three team mates for extra security. And Alli holding the ball and playing it to a team mate would help too.

This game is just an identikit of the bus park we've been facing continually over the last 4/5 years (since we got good). I'd have Dembele or Dier off, put Winks on and try to shift the fucking ball a bit quicker, including to the FB's.

Agree about midfield mate, not saying Trippier is that slow.

Just think we lack intensity

It's Burnley.
It's predictably crap against a defensive team.
But they'll tire - we'll score and then we'll score again and all the negativity can go and find a new home - we'll call The Emirates.

I think we all know it but Salah / Mane are exactly the sort of players we must sign before the transfer window closes, I will not be happy with just Barckley and defenders / prospects

Personally I'd bring off Dier (who imo has been very poor) for Sanchez and switch up to a back 3. That way we can push our fullbacks further up the pitch to stretch and pressurize Burnley more.

We'll be fine, we've dominated. Winks for Dier if we don't break the deadlock after 60mins.

Hopefully, they'll tire in the second half and the spaces will open up, as was the case in many games last season.

Anyone moaning about Wembley is adding to the problem. We are a better team than Burnley and should be winning regardless of what stadium

We're here for a year. Get on with it. Atmosphere is no worse than it would be at white hart lane regardless of people eating popcorn or pick n mix
