Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly set their sights once again on Sofyan Amrabat. Links between Spurs and the Morocco international go back a number of years.
Now, with the transfer window looming, Tottenham are apparently looking to him once again.

Not sure why we’d need him, we already have a tonne of holding midfielders. This link was originally a Paratici special too, so this just feels like lazy journalism.

If we have plans to sell Hojbjerg he would be a good replacement.
I would like Hojbjerg sold and this lad is undoubtedly better. I can’t understand how having this type of player fits in with us playing more attacking football.

Tottenham are up against Barcelona, who are believed to be frontrunners for Amrabat’s services.

I imagine a Pivot with a couple of maddisons in front of him (kind of like ManU play Casimiro with Bruno and Eriksen), he knows and plays his position really well, can drop back and make a 3 if needed, Hojbjergs like a headless chicken in comparison imo.

He is actually different to the CMs we have but if we are going to play Bissouma as the 6 then I don't think this signing makes sense.

That's from a fan of Amrabat

I think him as the main pivot, Bissouma and Maddison ahead of him, with Bentancur to come back when fit, that’s a good midfield. Add in Hatate for competition, and we’re cooking.

Do we have holding midfielders? I think Skipp is the only one I'd class as that. Hojbjerg doesn't have the mobility or awareness to play the role effectively and his best game is further up the pitch. Bissouma is also someone who likes to press further forwards, and bit like Kante. I think a player like Amrabat makes a huge amount of sense because they'll get the best out of the other midfielders we already have like Bents and Bissouma. Whether he's a priority depends on how the manager wants to play

Because we won’t be spending £40 million on a defensive midfielder.
If we were to sell Hojbjerg, for example, along with a few of the loanees, especially for an important role in the team, I could see that we would. If Ange wants a single pivot 3 man midfield, then he’d be a very good option to spend money on. He’s not £40million apparently, more around £20-30million.

He must feel like he's in a horror movie being pursued by a relentless force at this point.

Yeah I’d like us to sell PEH so would be a good idea to replace him so we have plenty of cover, especially if we play a three man midfield.
