I regards to aurier I suppose there is only so much coaching the club can do with him as if he struggles with the basics that's pretty much it.I think a lot of talk about Levy not buying but the whole market was slow. Clubs like Man U, Bayern did not improve. Newcastle sold more than they bought. Context here is important. Nobody wanted to buy at inflated prices unless forces i.e. Chelsea spending 72 mil (net plus 37 mil) on a keeper who is highly rated but a step down on Curtois. Everyone wanted top dollar including Spurs for their players, look a Villa 32 million for a championship player.
Secondly our squad is excellent. Improving it is hard, it is easier to buy players when there are glaring issues but that is not the case.
If we get Wanyama and Winks back in soon we will have genuine depth in all positions and Lamela hopefully won't be out long.
If those three were available yesterday we would have seen them play to rest others.
My biggest worry is that Aurier looks just as bad if not worse. Apart from his assist he lost the ball, made stupid decisions or was hopelessly out of position constantly.

Other than the statement regarding Aurier I agree with you. Give the dude time.I think a lot of talk about Levy not buying but the whole market was slow. Clubs like Man U, Bayern did not improve. Am I raging?
Am I even bovered?
That's nope and nope.
Didn't lose any of our key players.
Or the manager
No European 'aces' to bed in.
No disruption.
Improving and developing team.
Opportunities for our own.
Good start away in our first game.
Rage on people.
The spin doctors are out. We only need 2 or 3 quality players to really improve the squad & we got no one & as we were clearly getting frustrated with our deals I don't understand why we didn't go for broke on one player to show intent & improve what we've got. The player for me was Zaha & if they wanted 70M I think we should have had ago on deadline day or just before to see whether they would have dealt.

save the rage for when Eriksen departs, and Toby and Dembele if you like them too
there's a bit of a time bomb a ticking
I can’t agree with that, Dembele and Alderweireld are asking to go, no one wants to buy them, Eriksen isn’t asking to leave.
